Having finished his quota of work, the Saints Hall gave Bian some time to enjoy the competitions. "I'm sure they're gonna kill me with work once the school year begins." They even called in a demigod to heal him.
"Well having this kind of backing is nice" Bian brought out his commlink and called Han Yan.
"Hey I'm back, can we meet up" he asked with a tinge of excitement.
"Y-Yeah should I come to the hospital room" she raised her voice as there seemed to be a lot going on in the background. There were cheers erupting as alliance central military academy won in the competition for this year.
"No not there" Bian didn't want the staff to see him without his cast.
"Ok how about the training center" Han Yan asked, feeling like she could show Bian her new improvements in jadeskin.
"Okay, see you soon" Bian waited for her to drop the call.
He then transferred the 500 million to his dad and gave him a call soon after. His dad answered the call and waited for him to speak up.
"Hey dad, I um, helped a bigshot in the alliance, so they gifted me five hundred million" only after saying the sentence did Bian realize how weird it sounds.
His dad had tears on the verge of his eye "that's my boy, I'm so proud of you. You know --" he was really proud of Bian ever since he got into alliance central military academy, with perfect scores. Then he started working for the Saints Hall.
"Dad are you crying" Bian asked acting surprised
"Of course not, something got stuck in my eye. I'll speak to you later." Manwei Tian cut off the call.
"Parents, always so overdramatic" Bian surfed the skynet for a good place to have a date.
"There's a Cafè called serenity owned by the Ji family nearby I'll book a flight for two" Bian booked the flight and made reservations at the Cafè. Even without the money from the Xue family he had become a local tycoon with the money the saints hall pay him. Especially the bonus for every hundred documents translated.
He went to change and met up with Han Yan at the training centre. "Um why are you dressed like that" Bian asked confused? She wore the formal training clothes.
"Didn't you call me over to the training hall?" Han Yan was confused by his question.
"No I called you over, you said to meet at the training hall not me." Bian clarified the statements made.
"Ohh" Han Yan laughed. "How silly, then why did you call me over"
"I called you over for a date" Bian said awkwardly.
"You should have said so" Han Yan said in a panic, she wasn't dressed to go out.
"I wanted to say it face to face" the atmosphere turned silent. "Forget it the airship is almost here, I'll just wear the military training suit."
The training center was equipped with thousands of this suit after an incident whereby an unevolved had a breakthrough in power and also clothes. He had to run to his dormitory butt naked.
"You removed the cast?" Han Yan asked as they went to the changing room.
"The arm isn't getting any better, so might as well just remove the cast altogether" Bian shrugged and picked up a set of clothes.
"Um, do you mind" he said to Han Yan.
"Oh I'll wait outside" Han Yan subconsciously followed him in as they spoke.
"No that's not what I meant" Bian sucked in a breath of air "its difficult to change with only one arm"
Han Yan came forward with a smile
"Let me help you with that," she whispered, her voice like a gentle breeze on a summer evening. With delicate fingers, she reached for the buttons of his shirt, her touch sending shivers down his spine.
As her nimble fingers worked their way down his shirt, Manwei couldn't help but admire her. The way her eyes focused on the task at hand, the strands of hair that had escaped her bangs and framed her face, and the way her lips curved into a soft smile filled him with a deep longing.
Each button undone revealed a little more of his chest, but it also revealed a little more of the connection that had grown between them. Manwei couldn't tear his gaze away from Han Yan, his appreciation for her beauty growing with each passing moment.
Finally, the last button came free, and his shirt fell open. Han Yan stepped back, her eyes meeting his, and they stood there in silent admiration of each other's presence. In that moment, words were unnecessary, for their hearts had already spoken the language of love.
"Sometimes the silence guides a mind to move to a place so far away" Bian said breaking the ice. He finally understands the true meaning of those words.
"What was that?" Han Yan hadn't heard that line before.
"Nothing much, come on let's go quick or we'll be late" already wearing shorts he slipped on the military trousers and they made their way to the space sport.
...
They find themselves in a stylish, futuristic café. The café's sleek design features holographic menus and tables with touch-sensitive surfaces.
Bian Manwei wears a sharp military uniform that accentuates his confident stature, while Han Yan's outfit combines a hint of military functionality with an elegant touch, reflecting her poise and strength.
"Woah, you really went all out." Han Yan was delightedly surprised by the standards of the Cafè. They got some stares due to their military attires but ignored them.
"Only the best for the best", Bian wouldn't hold back when it came to treating those near to him.
"You don't need to compliment me, I'm already your girlfriend" Han Yan said with a cheeky smile.
"I'm just getting started, the alliance has too many prying eyes, when we meet in the sanctuaries I'll give you a real gift" Bian said.
"You're talking like the government would hunt you down if they figured out your secret" Han Yan thought Bian was joking.
"They actually might" Bian said seriously. "We're about to start our second year. By the end of this year I'll come to green shelter"
Noticing his serious tone Han Yan nodded seriously. "I'll be waiting till then" she would probably have maxed out her geno points by then but since she decided to date Bian she would wait for him too.
"Also" Bian looked even more serious than before "can we get veggies or sushi, I'm seriously tired of eating meat" Han Yan wasn't expecting a joke and was caught off guard. The serious atmosphere was instantly broken.
Their conversation flows effortlessly, a mix of shared dreams and aspirations, as well as lighthearted banter. They discuss their training experiences, the challenges they've overcome, and their hopes for the future.
The café serves dishes prepared with culinary technology. They indulge in sushi rolls that burst with flavors and savor nutrient-rich drinks that keep their energy levels up.
A holographic display in the café's center showcases the highlights of the alliance central military academy. Manwei and Yan watch in awe.
They explore the café's advanced gadgets together, trying out augmented reality simulations that test their strategic thinking and coordination, a fun reminder of Hand of God.
After their meal, they step onto a rooftop observation deck. High-tech telescopes allow them to gaze at the stars and planets. They share stories about their favorite celestial bodies. Well Han Yan shared the story while Bian admired her beauty and zeal as she spoke so passionately.
Amidst the futuristic surroundings, the connection between Manwei and Yan deepens. Their shared experiences and mutual respect lay the foundation for a profound bond.
As the night progresses, their date becomes a cherished memory, a blend of advanced technology and the timeless magic of two hearts connecting in a world filled with endless possibilities.
