Capítulo 185: Ch. 185: Pan's Ascendence
At this point, Pan was desperate. She'd tried everything, and now she was just trying to hold out, so she punched, and she kicked at the girl, but she was feeling the limits of her power. It frustrated her more than words could explain, her Saiyan instincts fighting a war in her head between 'just get it over with and push me out of the ring now.' and 'I want to keep fighting! I want to get stronger! This is so much fun!' Then, it happened. Her fist suddenly stopped in midair. Then, her body followed. Against her will, she began floating in midair right in front of Hanna, completely vulnerable.
Pan wanted to scream, but not a single muscle responded. She was fully under Hanna's control, and it was the single most terrifying moment of her life.
But then it got worse. Suddenly, the dormant ki inside of her began to move. This wasn't just the energy that she was keeping in reserve, it was energy that she hadn't even known that she'd had. It was moving, and she wasn't controlling it at all. It was like she'd lost control of her very soul or something, and as the energy began to knead into itself and flow, a primal terror struck Pan.
The pressure got bigger and bigger as the energy expanded and became denser. Pan's senses became sharper, and she could feel her heartbeat speed up and her breath hitch in terror, but then the energy changed.
In an instant, like flipping a switch, something inside Pan changed, and her aura flared golden-white, exploding out from every pore of her body as the bandana on her head flew off under the pressure of the energy coursing through her hair, which now stood at attention.
What Hanna had done to Pan was fairly simple. First, Hanna had unlocked a small portion of her potential. Maybe a 1.5 times increase in her raw power level, nothing much, but then she'd taken control of the now freely flowing energy deep inside of Pan and used it to force Pan's body to go Super Saiyan.
Technically, for a single moment, Pan's Super Saiyan mode had been influenced by Hanna's divine energy into something closer to Divine Super Saiyan, but that had been but a momentary thing. The divine aspect had disappeared from her aura, leaving it the familiar gold of the regular Super Saiyan state even before Hanna had forfeited the match.

"Did she just...?" When Pan had first been trapped in midair by Hanna, Piccolo's first instinct had been to charge the stage and attack Hanna, but Goku's hand on his chest had stopped him just in time, allowing him a more rational mindset. If Hanna wanted to harm Pan, Pan would have instantly died on the spot. So would basically everyone with power levels below Goku and Vegeta. In fact, she easily had enough power to destroy the seventh universe by flaring her energy, Piccolo knew.
So, by the time Hanna had made Pan go Super Saiyan, Piccolo had been completely calm. Meanwhile, Vegeta was absolutely raging inside. Despite not saying a word, nobody in the waiting room had the strength of mind to get within five feet of the incredibly angry Saiyan at the moment. They could all tell what he was thinking. 'HOW DARE SHE JUST UP AND FIRFEIT BEFORE I CAN FIGHT HER!?' His mind was clearly screaming over and over again like a broken record, but luckily, Vegeta had matured a lot, so he didn't lash out. Just quietly seethed, which was honestly worse for Piccolo, who he was up to fight next.

"RAAAAGH!" The moment that the next battle, Piccolo vs. Vegeta, started, Piccolo cranked his power level up as high as he could get it. It barely saved him.
With an animalistic shout, Vegeta unleashed a truly massive amount of power, all aimed directly at Piccolo. A single punch, and, almost like a joke, the Namekian went flying out of sight in a purple explosion that took the roof off of the building that the remaining fighters were waiting in.
"PICCOLO!" Half of the Z-fighters shouted in unison after Piccolo's figure had vanished into the distance.
...
"Ouch..." Piccolo grumbled a minute later from the inside of a mountain twelve miles away.
...
The next two fights were Goku Vs. Uub and Tien versus some random guy. Both fights ended as expected. Uub couldn't hold a candle to the guy who'd trained him, and Tien simply walked up, punched the random dude in the gut, and walked back to the waiting room a victor.
...
Finally, it became time for Pan and Vegeta to fight in the semifinals.
After letting off some steam punching Piccolo twelve miles to Sunday, Vegeta'd finally regained his cool. He was still angry at Hanna, but he'd turned his attention to Pan's new, mysterious power instead. Getting to be the first person to test that, while not a perfect replacement for the opportunity to fight one of the strongest beings he'd ever seen, was an exciting opportunity that he wasn't about to pass up.
Meanwhile, Pan had slept through the last few battles. While her body was now easily stronger than it'd ever been before, the experience had taken a pretty big toll on her mind. Though Hanna hadn't actually meant to scare her, the experience of having your energy forcibly awakened was not a fun one at all. Honestly, nobody was even certain that she'd be capable of going Super Saiyan again at all, but finding that out was enough to get Vegeta's blood pumping once more.
Striding up to the stage, Pan felt nervous. As the announcer began the countdown, her nerves began to fall away, her blood pumping.
"And fight!" As soon as the announcer said that, Pan's doubts fell away, her Saiyan blood awakening with a white-gold flare, electricity crackling around her as power, pure power, ran through her body like lightning. In an instant, her fist met Vegeta's in the center of the stage, causing the ground beneath them to quake under their powers.
