Capítulo 179: The Meeting

Maxine and Geoffrey met George at a tavern in Duke Henry Valentia's territory. They had run instead of taking horses but they did not know the details of their summons. Maxine was worried that Geoffrey would not be up for the task. This would be the first time he was going on a mission with her and she could not help but to be nervous. 

"Are you alright?" Geoffrey asked her as they sat in silence waiting for Clyde. 

She sighed and nodded her head, "I just don't want to drag you into something that you don't want to be a part of," she said softly.

Geoffrey leaned over and planted a kiss on her forehead. "I want to be wherever you are and that is not going to change. I am sure that Clyde has a very good reason for summoning you and I know that you would not want to disappoint him. Everything will be fine," he tried to reassure her.
