David
"David," my mum calls out as soon as I set foot in the mansion.
"Where have you been, again? It's almost lunch time."
"Oh mum! I had some unfinished business to take care of." I answer quickly hoping that would be enough to get me off her radar.
"It's a weekend. Don't you have the word wekeend in you dictionary?" She ruffles my hair. She's always made it seem like that was her actual hobby.
"No mum, it's just some personal staff."
"Is it a secret or would you like…." She pauses as if something else has just crossed her mind.
"Actually honey. I haven't even had a proper alone time with my son. I should plan for one. You should clear your schedule tomorrow. I won't take no for an answer." She leaves as she smiles, before adding, "Don't be late for lunch. I know you."
Yeah of course I wouldn't dare. She would surely drag the whole dining table to my room and watch me eat.
