Capítulo 36: "Mother"

In the midst of the decaying city, Seraphyne's heart raced as she drew closer to the elusive sound of the beating heart. Her footsteps were quick and agile, her senses on high alert as she navigated through the difficult landscape.

'There's nothing left in this city but death! As a chef, I might not be able to eat meat these days. Those flesh scattered, rotting, and uncovered really make me think of pork and beef. It makes me sick!'

'Why are there so many zombies in this city?'

As she passed by the slow, lumbering forms of the infected, she resisted the urge to engage them. 

'I know the virus will mutate fast, and people will get infected, but that's odd. It's been only a few days since the news declared that the city had fallen. How come the number overgrew?'

The stench of death and decay hung heavy in the air, and any unnecessary noise or commotion could spell disaster in this dangerous place.
