Capítulo 53: 53

'.....'= Thoughts

"....."= Conversations

____________________________________________________________________________________

John looked at the person who had stealthily attacked him while he was focused on Rhino.

The person in question was a tall and muscular individual with fair skin and blonde hairs. He had glowing red eyes, which added to his imposing and intimidating presence. His facial features were sharp and angular, accompanied by a sinister smirk.

The most notable aspect of his appearance was the suit, which covered a substantial portion of his body. The suit had a black and silver color scheme, with intricate details and patterns etched into the metal.

Another defining characteristic of the person's appearance was the presence of long, whip-like tendrils attached to his arms.

John had no idea who this person was or whether he had even been featured in Marvel or not. But he knew one thing: this person was very dangerous. He decided to temporarily name him Red, due to the colour of his eyes.

Suddenly, John's senses flared, and his Haki gave him a warning. He had no idea what had actually happened, but he quickly backed away from the person in the suit and released small shockwaves in the air around him, pushing away whatever was approaching him.

The air surrounding him gave off a great sense of foreboding. Moreover, the feeling of danger was even greater than that of facing a Rhino.

Furthermore, Rhino was slowly getting up. John now had to fight against two individuals, one of whom he was not aware of their abilities.

John narrowed his eyes at Red, his instincts telling him that this person should not be underestimated. "Who are you?" John demanded, his voice filled with a mix of caution and curiosity. "And what did you just do?"

"Am I supposed to answer?" Red grinned.

'Aren't all villains supposed to?' John wondered if the novels he had read in his past life were affecting him too much.

Without any warning, Red and Rhino attacked John at the same time.

Though such attack didn't caught John by surprise due to his Observation Haki.

John quickly activated his Armament Haki, coating his body in a layer of a visible black armor, ready to defend himself against the impending attacks. He anticipated Red's whip-like tendrils and Rhino's brute strength as they closed in on him.

As the tendrils lashed towards him, John used his Quake Quake Fruit to create a shockwave, shattering the ground beneath him. The power of the shockwave disrupted the trajectory of the tendrils, causing them to miss their target. At the same time, John used his agility and speed to swiftly dodge Rhino's charge, narrowly avoiding the devastating impact.

With a surge of adrenaline, John retaliated. He channeled his Devil Fruit powers once again, creating another shockwave, this time directed towards Red and Rhino. The shockwave propagated through the air, hitting both opponents and knocking them off balance.

John took advantage of the momentary disorientation, launching himself towards Red. He delivered a powerful punch, enhanced by his Armament Haki, directly at Red's chest.

However, Red quickly recovered, twisting his body to absorb the blow and retaliated with his deadly Carbonadium Tendrils. The tendrils whipped towards John, aiming to pierce his flesh and drain his life force.

John's Observation Haki alerted him just in time. He swiftly dodged and redirected the tendrils, maneuvering them to strike Red instead. The tendrils pierced through Red's armor, injecting him with a deadly dose of his own life-draining power.

As Red writhed in pain, John turned his attention back to Rhino. He knew that he needed to incapacitate both opponents before they had a chance to recover. With precise accuracy, John struck Rhino with a series of powerful attacks, exploiting every opening and weak spot he could find.

Rhino's tough exterior proved to be a formidable challenge, but John's strength, agility, and Quake Quake Fruit powers ultimately tipped the scales in his favor. With a powerful blow, John sent Rhino crashing to the ground, groaning in agony.

Still, the fight was far from over. Both of John's opponents displayed incredible stamina and durability, yet John himself was not yet tired. His Regeneration Ability provided him with a sizable reserve of stamina, allowing him to continue fighting for an extended period.

However, John found himself in enemy territory, and time was not on his side. Thus, he felt a sense of urgency to swiftly end the fight and incapacitate his opponents.

Just as he prepared to launch another attack, John detected the presence of two individuals rapidly approaching his location. These unknown individuals were unfamiliar to John; they were neither Wanda, Hawkeye, nor Natasha, who had been observing him covertly for some time.

Before John had a chance to react, the two individuals appeared in the clearing.

One person had a greenish-yellow skin that gave him a reptilian appearance. He possessed elongated limbs and a large, round head, along with a pronounced underbite. His eyes were large and bulging, colored a vibrant yellow. His wavy, greasy hair was typically styled into either a crew cut or a mohawk.

He was dressed in a tattered green and yellow jumpsuit, which included a high collar and gloves with webbed fingers, further emphasizing his amphibian-like characteristics. Additionally, he wore a belt adorned with pouches.

Beside him stood a woman who appeared to be his partner, catching John's gaze. She was stunningly beautiful and had a distinctly athletic figure. It seemed she was in her mid-30s. Her hair was waist-length and platinum blonde, radiating a shimmering glow. Typically, she styled it in cascading curls, enhancing her ethereal appearance. Her eyes were a mesmerizing shade of piercing blue, filled with intensity and determination.

She wore a skintight costume that was made of white and light blue, covering her entire body except for her head. The costume had a sleek design with a distinct star emblem on the chest and a fabric pattern resembling flowing energy lines.

John frowned as both of these people looked at him with disgust and hatred.

John was familiar with these people because Tony provided him with information about mutants in a tab while they were in the car. This information included details about these two individuals.

The man's name was Toad, and the woman's name was Aurora. Both of them were part of Magneto's group.

And John was clear about their motive for coming here.

••You guys may or may not know about the abilities of the mutants described in the chapter. But still I have written the abilities of these individuals here.

1) Rhino

Superhuman Strength: The Rhino possesses extreme superhuman strength. The Rhino is able to lift approximately 75 tons. When Rhino attempted to drown Silver Sable and himself in a room of rising water, he was shown being capable of resisting Spider-Man's attempts at loosening his grip. Rhino was capable of destroying the armour of the successor Rhino with ease.

Superhuman Speed: The Rhino can, despite his large size, run at 70 mph for short periods, being capable of catching up with a moving train. Hence he can, while charging or ramming, appear at his destination rather quickly, although he can't move nearly as fast as speedsters.

Superhuman Stamina: The Rhino's enhanced musculature is much more efficient than that of a normal human and generates considerably less fatigue toxins during physical activity. At his peak, he can exert himself physically for at least up to 24 hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood starts to impair his performance.

Superhuman Durability: Even without his suit, the Rhino's body is highly resistant to physical injury. He can withstand high caliber bullets, exposure to temperature extremes, falls from great heights and even light anti-tank weaponry without sustaining injury.

2) Omega Red (Red)

Death Factor: Omega Red can emit lethal pheromones (death spores) from his body. These spores result in the weakness or death of anybody in his vicinity. The severity of the effect is based on the endurance, health, and relative proximity of the victims.

Life Force Absorption: Omega Red has the ability, and need, to drain the life force of other humans to sustain his own. He can do this by ensnaring his victims within his tentacles and using them as a conduit for his death factor.

Superhuman Strength: Omega Red is superhumanly strong and is capable of lifting about 10 tons normally.

Regenerative Healing Factor: Omega Red is capable of healing at much greater speeds than that of an ordinary humans. He has proven capable of healing from deep slashes and puncture wounds within a matter of minutes. However, he is able to use the energy he drains from others to enhances his healing powers to higher levels.

Carbonadium Tentacles: Omega Red possesses Carbonadium tentacles housed within his arms. Carbonadium is an unstable, artificial alloy that is the former Soviet Union's attempt at recreating true adamantium. While the alloy is only slightly less durable and more malleable than adamantium, it is also radioactive. The radioactivity of the metal, when combined with Omega Red's death factor, allows him to literally drain the life force of his victims. Omega Red can also use the tentacles as whips or restraining bonds, restraining most individuals easily due to the durability of the tentacles.

3) Toad

Superhuman Leaping: Toad's primary power is the ability to leap to heights and distances far greater than that of an ordinary human, able to reach 25 feet in a vertical leap and 37 feet in a broad jump, as well as deliver kicks with superhuman force.

UV/Infrared Vision: The Toad's enhanced vision allows him to see into the ultraviolet and infrared spectrum, granting him a degree of heightened night vision. However, his eyes are also sensitive to certain types of lighting, forcing him to wear light-filtering goggles that allow him to operate in strong daylight that would otherwise blind him.

Prehensile Tongue: The Toad has the ability to extend his tongue up to 30 feet in length and use it as a whip to ensnare objects and people.

Pheromone Secretion: The Toad can secrete an odorless pheromone venom from glands in his tongue and fingertips that seeps through the skin directly into the bloodstream. This venom allows him to control the minds of anyone exposed to it to a limited extent. It is presumed that the victim's skin must be porous in order for this power to take effect.

Acidic Saliva: The Toad's saliva is highly acidic, adheres to most surfaces, and quickly dissolve most materials with ease.

Paralytic Resin: The Toad's pores secrete an adhesive resin that allows him to stick to any surface and paralyzes the nervous systems of any living organism that comes into contact with it.

Superhuman Respiratory System: The Toad's lungs can expand and compress large quantities of air that can be expelled with enough force to knock a fully grown human off their feet.

Amphibian Control: The Toad has the ability to psionically communicate with and control amphibian life, such as frogs, toads, newts, and salamanders, who he often uses as spies.

4) Aurora

Molecular Acceleration: She has the ability to accelerate the molecules within an inanimate object or a living being by touch, causing the target to tear itself apart from the subsequent stress generated upon it.

Heightened Reflexes: She possesses reflexes far above the average human. Reflexes are so advanced that she can go through an entire apartment, checking all the rooms and taking out the survivors in just mere seconds.

Flight: She has the ability to propel herself through the air. To hover in mid-air Aurora applies thrust downward in a carefully controlled manner.

Calming Light: She has the ability to send out a calming light that the target feels emotions and memories that make them at peace. It can even be used to break telepathic control.

Concussive Blasts: She has the ability to send out concussive blasts that can do considerable damage. She can project these from her hand and out from her body in a series of concussive bursts.

Lightning: She has the ability to project lighting blasts.

The abilities of all the individual mentioned here are yet in the process of development and are still in close to the initial stages. So they are not the stronger version of themselves.
