At 8 p.m., Roger and Kate managed to obtain 10 pregnancy tests, fulfilling Charlie's desire. Roger drove his car slowly back to Charlie's mansion.

Kate remained silent, feeling bored and awkward, not understanding why Roger was driving so slowly.

She wanted to talk but was still hesitant and embarrassed, constantly remembering how she rejected Roger for Ryan, who turned out to be a jerk and even ruined her career.

"Have you found a new job?" Roger broke the silence.

"Not yet," Kate whispered, glancing briefly at Roger. "I'm waiting for news from Charlie. He promised to let me work at his hotel or company but is still waiting for a suitable position that matches my skills," she continued.

"What if you work in my office?" Roger asked.

"Uh..." Kate stammered, biting her lower lip.
