I did not think I had ever prayed for something more in my life as I waited for Ethan's reaction. He had been staring me down for what felt like forever as different emotions flashed through his green eyes. I could see the lust in him, the pure need to just take me on the table and have his way with me. Yet I could see the conflict in him as well. 

I had no doubt that it was about Malia. 

In my mind, if she was going to spend a few days here which could easily extend into a week or two, I worried what would happen between Ethan and I when we were in such a fragile area. If I could do anything to ensure we were cemented in our relationship whilst I tried to figure out what to do with Malia, it would give me a piece of mind. 

I would take advantage of the few days I could steal away from work and home to spend time with him so he could see I was serious about us.
