There was a time when I genuinely believed that Demyan and I could go back to what we used to be. That we would flow back back together as natural as yin and yang. He had changed over the years, that was definitely true, he did not have the same uncontrollable fire he used to contain but now knew when to calm down if needed. 

The one thing that had not changed about him was his indecisiveness. I was not going to pretend that it did not piss me off that he was still entertaining Malia. She called and whatever spark we had burned died just as quickly as it had begun. It infuriated me that I could hear her giggles through the phone down the hallway and Demyan's low chuckle.
