Capítulo 45: The visit

Smith had business to do in another part of town and rather than commute, he'd rented a strange, unfamiliar suite.

     When Monday morning came, the sound of Smith's alarm woke me up from a dreamless sleep. Being in a peculiar area with nothing to do left me uneasy. So far, our marriage had consisted of suitcases, sterile hotel sheets, and little bottles of shampoo. The barbeque at my dad's over the weekend was the only thing that made me feel normal.

     He stirred and pulled away, turning off the clock before swinging his long, muscular legs off the mattress. His robust backside looked so taut and perfect, I wanted to reach out and touch it, but his strong and confident thighs strolled into the bathroom before I could.

     I laid on the bed, staring unfocused at the ceiling as a cool breeze wafted in through the open window. I was naked too—under the same sheets Smith had tugged away last night when he'd explored my body.
