Capítulo 11: Chapter 11: Pokémon Rising Volt
While Troy was training Kakuna by telling him to keep spamming string shots, Troy was practicing throwing a pokeball, thinking, "This feels so much better in the anime than it is in real life."
After Kakuna was exhausted from spamming string shots, Troy wanted it to now focus on using hardening until it felt like it was as hard as steel. "But before that, Kakuna, let's take a break," pulling out some bug-type Pokémon food for Kakuna and sandwiches for Troy, both jumping in to consume their food.
While enjoying their food, a few small Pokémon came out of hiding to see if they could get any food from Troy. Looking at every Pokémon that was around him, most of the Pokémon had a red aura and were nothing too interesting until his eyes came upon a single budew that had emerald potential, but seeing its potential was not surprising. This budew looked like it's been starving for weeks.
Troy quickly got some of the Pokémon bug food from his bag, even grabbing a plate and pouring some bug-type food onto it, placing it next to the budew. It started chewing in while Troy was happy for it to be enjoying it. Troy finally started to look at these buff stats.

Seeing Budew stats could only be amazed. Waiting for Budew to finish its food, Troy had asked, "Hey Budew, do you want to be my Pokémon? I'll make sure you never have to starve again, so what do you say?" Budew hearing this could only bring joy with it accepting its new trainer.
Just as Troy was about to capture Budew, he heard the sound of the tree crashing down. Soon, two large Pokémon had come through the woods; one happened to be the alpha beedrill, and Troy was wondering why it was here only to see another giant bug Pokémon showing up, which ended up being an alpha butterfree triple the size of a normal butterfree. Troy's attempts to see its stats could only be horrifying at some of its moves.

Not wanting to get in between their fight, he quickly packed up his stuff and returned Kakuna back to its pokeball. Just as Troy was about to leave, he saw Budew not moving and scared being right next to the fight. Troy, seeing this, forgot about how dangerous it would be to save Budew and threw away all his fear and started running while trying to avoid the fight that's happening in the middle of the forest.
Once getting to Budew, Troy said to it, "Alright Budew, I need you to get into the pokeball or you might start flying away with how strong these winds are coming by". Budew, hearing this, touched the pokeball, got sucked into it, and was instantly captured without having to wait for the shaking.
Now, after capturing Budew, Troy started to run, not wanting to be near them, and started to go straight to the Pewter City entrance, thinking he would be safe. Troy looked behind, only to see them coming this way while still fighting all the Pokémon that had run in other directions from where Troy was. Oh, Lord God, what crimes have I committed in my current life to deserve this?"
Having not looked which way Troy had gone, he had taken a left, which goes deeper into the forest, not knowing which way he went while somehow still being chased. Nearly tired from all that running, Troy had one option, and that was to wait in a bush for them to continue fighting.
With the alpha butterfree and beedrill battle nearly coming to an end and both Pokémon looking worn out, Troy had come up with an idea. He threw out Kakuna and asked, "Kakuna, I need you to harden until you can't anymore. Tell me once you're done, then we will move onto plan 2."
