Capítulo 12: Twelfth
A fresh season has begun and with Li Jing having spent a lot of time with Jonah, his feelings for her had increased. He tried to find the right moment to confess his feelings, but he could never get her alone long enough to get the words out. So, one evening during the full moon, when it was at its biggest and brightest. Although, two of her senior sisters were in ear shot. He managed to find the courage somehow.
"Li Jing, I have to tell you something," Jonah began to say, looking at the moonlight bouncing off of her silky skin.
"Jonah, what is it? You seem nervous?" Li Jing asked, keeping her eyes on the moon's reflection in the water.
"I have strong feelings for you that have grown every day. I've never felt like this with anyone. You are not like the others. Your unique beauty is irresistible," Jonah confessed.
Senior Chrysanthemum and Iris heard everything as Li Jing turned to face him and watched him, he almost melted.
"Li Jing please say something?" Jonah pleaded , he was anxious to know how she felt.
"Jonah, I don't know how to say this," Li Jing started. "You see, I like you. I mean I like working with you, but not in the way that you like me. Yes, at one point I thought I liked you that way, but somehow I must have been channelling Senior Chrysanthemum's feelings for you," Li Jing explained, but this caused Senior Chrysanthemum to yell and run towards her.
"Li Jing, stop talking now," Senior Chrysanthemum yelled out.
"Senior Chrysanthemum, I'm sorry that I outed you, but now here's your chance to tell him how you feel if you choose too," Li Jing advised.
"Well, I …" Senior Chrysanthemum began to say before turning to face Jonah, "I thought you liked me, but you took one look at Li Jing and immediately fell for her. What am I invisible? Am I not good enough?" Senior Chrysanthemum spoke loudly, clearly showing how upset she was.
"Senior Chrysanthemum, I'm sorry. I did like you, for a long time, but sometimes you can be quite rude and intimidating. You're not easy to approach," Jonah confessed.
Senior Chrysanthemum stared at Jonah, turned without speaking a word and walked off. She disappeared somewhere whilst Jonah went back to the Bird realm. Li Jing and Senior Iris chatted for a moment before turning in themselves.

One week later, Li Jing had a nightmare where she was kidnapped by the Demon king's guards and he tried to take advantage of her powers. They tried to make her seek out a rare red ruby, but when she declined they killed CaoMei. That was when she shot up, with beads of sweat on her brow.
She couldn't get back to sleep so she thought she would take her mind off of things by doing more cultivation and making remedies. It was working fine until she overheard a couple of junior sisters gossiping. They mentioned Senior Chrysanthemum visiting the Demon Realm. Without thinking she fled to the Demon realm and she did see the Senior Chrysanthemum speaking with the Demon king. She feared they were plotting something against her for her power. So she went to speak to Senior Iris who suggested she go speak to the King and Queen of the Heavenly realm.
They both fled to the Heavenly realm, only the King was there. Li Jing went to speak with him and claimed she was in danger.
"King of the Heavenly Realm sir, I think I am in danger. I witnessed Senior Chrysanthemum and the Demon king together. I am sure they are plotting something against me for my power," Li Jing sounded desperate. The King pondered.
"Hmm! I do sense that you have a strong unique power. The Demon Realm has always lusted after more power. Before I make my decision, why don't you show me what you can do?" The King asked.
"You want me to show you how powerful I am," Li Jing asked, the King nodded.
"Ok," Li Jing nodded and then prepared herself.
Li jing created vines of Morning Glory up the pillars of the palace and several Kumquat trees in the courtyard.
"Very nice, very nice indeed. You have great power and immense control for someone so young. No wonder the Demon King wants you. You have my blessing to stay, but I want my son to meet you first," the King told her.
"Your highness, does this mean you will protect me?" Li Jing asked.
"Yes, Li Jing, I will protect you," the King promised, nodding.
Li Jing smiled and bowed, but just as she was about to walk away, a guy approached her. He glanced at her, walked straight passed and stood next to the King. He nodded to both King and Queen, before sitting down.
The King's son gestured her to sit down and she did so without taking her eyes off of him. Her hands were foraging for the chair. When she finally sat down she felt something towards the guy, but didn't have time to register her feelings when the king announced their engagement.
"Son, this lady is from the Cultivation realm and her name is.."
"Li Jing," the King's son finished, the King and Li Jing were both surprised that he knew her.
"Li Jing, this is my son, Wong Wei," the King finished saying, "your future husband."
