As the tension between Tony and the others escalated, Evelyn was about to take matters into her own hands.

She was determined to help her friends, Adrian and Emma, but before she could act, Lucas intervened.

He grabbed her wrist, preventing her from making a rash move that could alter the course of events.

"What are you doing, Evelyn?" Lucas questioned urgently. "You know that if you intervene, you'll also become a target."

Evelyn's eyes blazed with determination as she tried to free her wrist from Lucas's grip. "Let go of me, Lucas. They're my friends, and I can't just stand here doing nothing."

Lucas understood her concern, but he couldn't let her disrupt the carefully crafted narrative. As an author, he had a responsibility to ensure the story unfolded as planned.
