Capítulo 504: Radiance

After the departure of Sawsbuck, Yuga and his group began to observe this Moss Rock with magical power more closely.

In Yuga's perception, there was abundant Grass-type energy all around, and many Grass-type Pokémon in the vicinity were peeking out of the grass and trees, quietly observing Yuga and his group.

Feeling the rich Grass-type energy around, Yuga released his Grass-type Pokémon: Bellossom, Roserade, Breloom, and Ivysaur.

The others, seeing Yuga release so many Grass-type Pokémon, realized that Yuga was indeed a hidden Grass-type Pokémon trainer.

Previously, their battles were separate, so they had no idea that Yuga, in addition to his Absol and other Pokémon, also had several Grass-type Pokémon. Even Brawly, who fought with Yuga before, had only seen his Roserade.

As Yuga's Grass-type Pokémon came out, they immediately sensed the rich Grass-type energy in the environment and involuntarily emitted cheerful cries. They then closed their eyes to sense their attributes.

Yuga's four Grass-type Pokémon, except for Roserade, had undergone an Awakening Ritual by Celebi, making them particularly sensitive to Grass-type energy.

At this moment, Yuga noticed that the large leaves on the back of his Ivysaur were inexplicably collecting solar energy under the sun. The red bud on its back started to emit a faint glow.

Was this photosynthesis?

Yuga didn't expect Ivysaur to learn this skill by chance in this location. The others also noticed Ivysaur's unusual behavior, but they tactfully didn't disturb it.

As time passed, Ivysaur collected more and more solar energy on its back. The intense white light spread from the leaves and bud all over Ivysaur's body, soon enveloping its entire form.

At this point, Ivysaur's body began to grow under the solar energy's influence. The leaves on its back continued to grow, and the petals on its bud gradually unfolded.

Everyone realized that Ivysaur was about to evolve.

On the side, Bellossom noticed Ivysaur's impending evolution and called out to Roserade. Roserade nodded and, together with Bellossom, used Grassy Terrain. The verdant green light immediately surrounded Ivysaur, which was in the midst of evolving.

Seeing Bellossom and Roserade's actions, Yuga didn't hesitate to release his more powerful Pokémon, Florges. Without Yuga's command, Florges also used Grassy Terrain, immediately covering Bellossom and Roserade's Grassy Terrain.

Ivysaur, surrounded by the combined Grassy Terrain, instinctively activated its own Grassy Terrain, and it gradually merged with Florges, Bellossom and Roserade's.

Perhaps because they were in the forest, the Grassy Terrain created by Bellossom, Roserade, and Florges was exceptionally grand.

Countless grass sprouted, grew, and bloomed. The surrounding trees responded to Florges's call, gently swaying, and glowing green dots floated from the trees and landed on Ivysaur, still enveloped in white light.

As more green dots appeared, the white light surrounding Ivysaur gradually turned into a lush green color. When all the green dots were absorbed into Ivysaur's body, its evolution reached its final stage.

"Venusaur!"

With a cry, the solar energy and the light of evolution that enveloped Ivysaur dissipated suddenly, revealing a massive Venusaur.

This Venusaur was significantly larger than the average one, standing at more than three meters tall, including the flower. Yuga, standing in front of it, only reached its nose. Its size and volume were nearly on par with Yuga's colossal Absol.

"Venusaur, Venusaur."

Smelling the captivating fragrance, Yuga and his group immediately felt incredibly relaxed, as if their minds were being soothed.

After coming to his senses, Yuga approached Venusaur, gently touching its chin, and said, "Congratulations, Venusaur."

The average height of a typical Venusaur was two meters, including the flower. However, Yuga's Venusaur was over three meters tall, making it nearly as colossal as his Absol.

"Venusaur, Venusaur."

The evolved Venusaur was in a very cheerful mood, squinting its eyes and rubbing its cheek against Yuga's palm.

Yuga opened his Insight ability to check Venusaur's status.

...

<<Venusaur (Miracle Seed)>>

Attributes: Grass, Poison

Ability: Chlorophyll

Gender: Male

Potential: Blue

Level: 40

Skills: Sweet Scent, Tackle, Vine Whip, Leech Seed, Razor Leaf, Poison Powder, Sunny Day, Sludge Bomb, Energy Ball, Power Whip, Grassy Terrain, Photosynthesis, Solar Beam, Frenzy Plant.

...

After evolution, Venusaur's level had slightly increased, officially reaching level 40. Like the current Charmeleon, among Yuga's main Pokémon, aside from Breloom, the others were all above level 40.

Due to its Potential limitations, Breloom's progress remained slower than other Pokémon, despite having undergone the Awakening Ceremony. It was still at a little over level 30.

What pleased Yuga was that after evolution, Venusaur had not only learned the recovery skill Photosynthesis by pure chance but also awakened Solar Beam and Frenzy Plant, two powerful Grass-type moves, due to the unique environment here. Coupled with the Power Whip it had inherited, Venusaur now possessed three powerful moves.

However, both Solar Beam and Frenzy Plant had their side effects. Solar Beam required charging without the aid of Sunny Day, and Frenzy Plant would leave the Pokémon in a stiff state, much like the side effects of ultimate moves in other types: Giga Impact, Hyper Beam, Blast Burn, Hydro Cannon, and Rock Wrecker.

After Yuga celebrated, Florges, Roselia, Breloom, and Bellossom came over to congratulate Venusaur.

Venusaur responded to them with a happy smile.

As for Marlon and the others, they looked at Yuga's remarkable Venusaur with astonishment. They had seen Pokémon evolve before, but Venusaur's evolution had caused quite a stir, making it a unique and remarkable event. Just from its appearance, they could tell Venusaur was something extraordinary.

As Venusaur's evolution completed, the Grassy Terrain created by Florges and the others gradually dissipated. However, the grass energy remained visible in the area. The Moss Rocks and the grass field around them emitted a faint green glow, creating a beautiful scene.

At this point, Grass-type Pokémon hidden in the surrounding bushes and leaves began to emerge. They no longer seemed afraid of Yuga and the others. They gathered around the Moss Rocks and lay down next to them.

Yuga and his group finally got to witness the multitude of Grass-type Pokémon that inhabited the Pinwheel Forest. There were Pokémon like Pansage, Cottonee, Petilil, Ferroseed, and Maractus, among others. Some Grass-types from other regions, such as Oddish, Sunflora, and Tangela, were also mixed among them.

These Grass-type Pokémon seemed to know that the remaining grass energy was beneficial to them. They laid down on the grass and absorbed the grass energy that had fallen on the grass and Moss Rocks. It didn't take long for Yuga and the others to witness the evolution lights once again.

Spewpa evolved into Vivillon, Ferroseed evolved into Ferrothorn, Foongus evolved into Amoonguss, Cottonee evolved into Whimsicott, and Oddish evolved into Gloom...

These Pokémon had originally faced difficulties evolving due to their Potential limitations. Unless they encountered a trainer willing to help them, it might have taken them ages to evolve in the wild.

Now, thanks to the unique environment here and the special grass energy generated by Florges and the others' Grassy Terrain, they had finally completed their evolution. Those Pokémon that hadn't evolved also received significant benefits.
