"To reward Murkrow, Floette, and Absol for their excellent performance in today competition, we're having a big feast tonight!"
Upon hearing Yuga words, the Pokémon cheered with excitement.
To adapt to their training, most of the Pokémon food had been replaced with Pokéblocks, while regular food became a sporadic treat to adjust their palate.
However, the taste of Pokéblocks couldn't compare to regular food, so the Pokémon were thrilled to hear about the big feast tonight.
As a result, Yuga spent a busy two to three hours in the kitchen with several Pokémon before they all enjoyed a hearty meal.
Although preparing the feast was a bit of a hassle, everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Rather than simply savoring the meal, it felt like they were relishing the process of preparing it.
After the competition, Yuga days returned to normal: training Pokémon, administering medicine to Pokémon eggs with genetic defects, overseeing the shop, and occasionally supervising the progress of the Ecopark construction.
Furthermore, over the past few days, Rand attitude towards Yuga had noticeably improved. After school, he would sometimes come to the shop, holding the Pokémon egg Yuga had given him.
Regarding the matter of Yuga giving Rand the Pokémon egg, Mr. Kate had even visited the shop to talk to Yuga about it. But Yuga insisted that it was a gesture of gratitude for Mr. Kate saving his life, and Mr. Kate had little else to say on the matter.
The construction of the Ecopark was also nearing completion these days, and Yuga was greatly looking forward to seeing the finished result.
On this day, Yuga was idly tending to the shop when he suddenly saw a red blur burst into the shop like a small cannonball. It wasn't until this red projectile came right up to Yuga that he recognized Luna.
Luna immediately hugged Yuga waist and started shaking him vigorously.
"Big Brother Yuga, you gave a Pokémon egg to that kid Rand, why don't I have one?! Why? Why?"
Luna grip was remarkably strong, and Yuga not only felt dizzy but also as if he was being bombarded by her words.
Yuga gently pushed Luna away, rubbing his waist.
"How do you know I gave a Pokémon egg to Rand?"
Luna huffed, "Why wouldn't I know?! He goes to school every day hugging that egg. I've seen it, and I've even heard him telling others that you gave it to him!"
"That right, I did give it to him."
"Why does he have one and not me!! You're my big brother, not his! Why does he have one and I don't? I don't care, I want one too, I want one too!"
Luna tantrum was giving Yuga a headache. She was just a step away from rolling on the floor.
"Why should I give you one? Rand has been doing well in school, but I've heard that you've been mischievous and causing trouble."
Upon hearing Yuga words, Luna complaint abruptly stopped. She avoided his gaze, stuttering, "Who... who said that? I do well in school too."
This little rascal had learned how to divert attention. Yuga was well aware that Luna academic performance was consistently good, but other aspects of her behavior were less commendable.
"Oh... so your grades are good! But what about besides your grades?"
Yuga looked at Luna with a seemingly amused expression.
Luna felt uncomfortable under Yuga odd gaze. She mumbled, "I don't care, I don't care. I want a Pokémon egg too. If you don't give me one today, I'll stay here and refuse to leave."
In reality, Luna starter Pokémon had been prepared by Yuga parents long before he transmigrated. It was just that they hadn't found the right moment to give it to her. However, before Yuga had transmigrated, Luna was the only child from either family with the potential to become a trainer. Both families highly valued her starter Pokémon.
Precisely because of that significance, it had been delayed until now, and by the time Luna starter Pokémon was ready, Yuga parents had already faced their accident.
"Alright, alright, stop quarreling. If you keep this up, I'll call your dad!"
Upon hearing that Yuga was going to call her dad, Luna immediately quieted down. Luna was spoiled most of the time, and there was only one person who could keep her in check—her dad.
"I won't talk to you anymore! Go be a big brother to Rand!"
Saying this, Luna turned around in a huff and went to vent her frustration on Floette and the others. The shop once again turned into a chaotic scene.
Yuga watched as Luna fussed around on the side, not paying her much attention, understanding that her behavior was just a child temperament that would pass with time.
In fact, Yuga had already had thoughts about Luna starter Pokémon, but he didn't want to reveal it to her. After all, he wanted to keep the surprise intact.
Afterwards, Yuga received two customers who came to inquire about Pokémon, but neither of them made a purchase, likely needing more time to consider.
At that moment, he saw Rand enter the store with a joyful expression.
"Yuga big brother, look, my Pokémon egg hatched!"
It was only then that Yuga noticed Blitzle in Rand arms.
Due to just being born, the baby Pony Pokémon was incredibly small in size, its wet eyes looking at people with an adorable expression.
<<Blitzle>>
Type: Electric
Gender: Male
Ability: Motor Drive
Nature: Mild
Level: ?
Moves: ?
Observing Blitzle with a discerning eye, Yuga found that due to its recent birth, he couldn't clearly determine its level or moves. However, its ability was outstanding, and it was indeed a rare Pokémon, originating from the United regions.
"So, it's a Blitzle. A pretty good one," Yuga said with a smile, patting Blitzle head as he spoke to Rand.
"Yeah, this is the first time I've seen a real Blitzle. I've only read about them in books before," Rand said excitedly. Seeing his joyous expression, Yuga felt that Rand previously reserved persona might be changing.
While Yuga and Rand were happily discussing Blitzle, a sudden voice came from behind, startling both of them.
"Hey, is this Pokémon the one that hatched from that egg?"
Turning around, Yuga and Rand saw that Luna had somehow appeared behind them, with Vulpix and Houndour following her.
"Can I... Can I touch it?" Luna suddenly asked Rand while fidgeting.
Seeing Luna suddenly blushing face, Yuga began to wonder if he had entered an alternate reality today. Was this the same mischievous little witch? What's with everyone acting out of character today?
Rand finally returned to his usual demeanor. He wiped the smile off his face and gave a serious expression, though he didn't say anything. However, he still carefully extended Blitzle toward Luna.
Luna happily reached out and petted Blitzle, seemingly wanting to comb through every inch of its fur.
Seeing Blitzle discomfort, Rand gently took it back from Luna, cradling it carefully.
"Hmph, such a stingy guy."
Observing Rand taking Blitzle back, Luna pouted unhappily, then turned and went to play with Vulpix and Houndour.
Not minding Luna displeased expression, Yuga addressed Rand, "Don't mind her, she's just throwing a tantrum."
Rand nodded and didn't pay much attention to Luna attitude.
