Capítulo 30: Corrupt Loyalty

Azriel's Pov.

  After I took charge of the defense force, I began making immediate changes. The soldiers swept through the streets of the capital, in a few weeks the crime rate was reduced by 80%. We fought gangs, bandits and thieves. It was on one of these journeys that I discovered the docks used for shipping off and selling humans as slaves. I stormed into the place with my soldiers and arrested everyone involved in that business, but before I could do anything to the proprietors I got an order from the king to let them go.

"What business do you have with the king?" I asked the leader of the slavers, an older man with a dry face and walks with the support of a walking stick.

"You are part of the royal family, you should ask them what their business with me is, now let me go I need to see my grandchildren." I released the old man and the other people that worked as slavers. They went back and continued with their business of selling humans.
