[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]
This day, inside the Castle, will be the time the two truly become Husband and Wife and rulers of their own rising empire, improper as it still was.
Many Demons under them had flocked around the Castle's interiors, and a few humans from the village of Petal were present here. And they've been preparing this ceremony for a whole week ever since Jonathan and Olga had the success with their ritual.
In fact, even Chloe didn't expect them to marry just after being around with each other for only several months.
Loneliness really does change one person who tried her best not to be one again. Though at all her time, the Dark Queen becoming a proper one is something she never even achieved.
She was even quite paranoid about Jonathan, thinking about the stories she always hears, what if he abused his position? Thoughts like those were immediately cancelled out.
That will never happen, as Jonathan was as loyal to her as she was to him. It's as if they've already established a long bond throughout their interactions day by day.
But as they were approaching the chamber where they were to be officially wed, the humans and demons inside it were already prepared.
The chamber had been redecorated to feel more alive and welcoming, the normally dark feel it had was already removed by the presence of many wisps summoned by Chloe lighting up the chamber, either gathering in different spots or wandering around it.
The local priest from Petal was hired to officially coronate the bride and groom as the real king and queen of the kingdom that will remain unnamed for hopefully a short while.
To the humans it was quite a sight to see the Demons being organized despite being too different from them, but as always, there's still those humans who would try to discriminate them due to hatred and personal beliefs.
They were immediately pacified and sent back to where they belonged, for their actions may ruin the ceremony. Enemy or not, this was sacred.
Chatter filled the chamber, and many different people exchanged chattering and light banter, commenting about Olga and Jonathan or even about daily life which was irrelevant.
Meanwhile, the groom and bride were approaching the said chamber, their figures becoming expected by the old priest.
Jonathan was in clothing purely expected from a groom; a suit and tie. And now he had slicked back hair which had been shortened and was changed to black due to a request from Olga.
And what about the Dark Queen?
A large white veil covered her face, and she was in a dress that looked like a mixture of a typical wedding dress and a nightgown that hugged her body tightly and made her exude a very alluring aura that may rival Celestine's own.
She also wore knee length boots and arm-length gloves, and to summarize her choice of clothing, Jonathan liked it as much as her barely clothed self was, even though there was a need to change her clothing sooner enough.
And for a mere moment, the two of them stopped.
"What's the matter?" He asked, stepping closer to her. "Something wrong?"
"Did you invite humans to this ceremony?" She asked, almost wanting to rub her temple in disbelief. ".... on second thought, I still don't know what goes on in your head for you to do this...."
The two went silent, but Jonathan took the initiative and lent her his hand for her. His Queen took it, and all her worries seemed to vanish right at that moment, now she was at ease.
When many saw them enter the room and walk through the red carpet, the chatter went silent, and the priest immediately took his time to begin the ceremony, carefully in fact. He didn't want anybody to die or be punished for a small accident.
Once the bride and groom were at position, facing each other, it has begun.
The priest began to chant under Laurentia's name, talking about how blessed this day was, and that the two were destined to be together under the goddess's kindness, and they will change the course of history as intended by her.
The speech was long, and it bored many demons, even Olga and Jonathan. But it has to continue for.... various reasons.
But soon enough, the priest took a short prayer before faking a cough.
"Now that my prayers are done, let both of you take your oaths."
Jonathan and Olga perked up, their patience rewarded by this, and after the two took their oaths, the priest asked Jonathan to lift Olga's veil.
"You may now kiss the bride."
The resounding roars of the Demons enveloped the Castle, and soon afterward, the the north-eastern parts of the Lands of Darkness. Due to superstitions among the humans, this really meant that something big and evil was coming their way, and in panic, the nearby fortress's rulers had decided to strengthen their defenses and train their armies, spreading news about the roars and their superstitious conspiracies.
Even though Kaguya was the recent Princess Knight, having recently been blessed by Celestine, there was no trouble in doing what was needed to protect her fortress and the villages and towns around it.

After the marriage, days, weeks, and months begun to pass. Jonathan became the King of Discordia, the kingdom he and Olga were beginning to cultivate, and he had less time to exercise his abilities.
But due to that, he's been focusing on growing the kingdom to suit the ones living under it.
Outposts around the Dark Castle were built due to the demons around it trying to invade the castle in order to "reclaim it from the false rulers", banding together and stopping their assault on human settlements just to achieve one goal.
Hundreds were indoctrinated and forced to labor, even those who willingly surrendered as punishment for their actions.
In the north of Discordia, with the help of humans, a few villages were created, and the village of Orthadroval became a town housing a variety of races within it, even beastkin and halflings, and even elves of both races that were rescued from several captured villages.
Coincidentally, they were placed where corruption was rampant, and no priests loyal to their sins were spared from all of Discordia's forces and minor conquests, and that it was only found out when Celestine used her nigh-omniscient clairvoyance all around Eostia.
News began to spread all over the Seven Fortresses, and it was a vast surprise that a few of their Villages and town near Thorn was already captured and taken over and nobody seemed to notice until several months.
Meanwhile, a few groups of Orcs began to learn magic, turning them into Orc Warmages, Orcs in dark robes created by them, and have intelligence notably higher than the other Orcs, and significantly higher than ordinary, non-Discordian Orcs.
Goblins were still discriminated, and Jonathan refuses to even indoctrinate a single one of these mindless demons.
And in the Dark Castle's underground room.... both Jonathan and Olga entered it.
"Are you sure, even with that bloated belly of yours, that you would want to completely strengthen the seal?" Jonathan asked her as he glanced at an eerily glowing crystal that was held down to the ground by powerful chains, though they looked like they would break apart soon....
"I am confident about this. If this allows us to be safer, then I don't care about a few consequences. I just need to be careful, that's all." Assured Olga as she grabbed her staff.
"Then let us do this."
Slowly, their energies began to exit their bodies, intertwining and connecting with each other as they began to match each other.
This was done intentionally to significantly strengthen the sealing spell they were about to use, and calmly, the two extended one of their arms forward.
Several magic circles were created on the ground and within those shot out many spiked chains that began to cover up the crystal, and suddenly buried it down to the ground.
Sensing danger, the crystal began to resist in response, even trying to use it's energy to destroy the chains. But, with the efforts of both Olga and Jonathan, they managed to absorb the energy it released and gained a temporary boost that allowed them to fully seal it several tens of feet below.
Feeling like they've done a great job, they decided to place a few more seals before returning.
"We make excellent partners, my Queen."
"Hmph.... Keep flattering me. In two months Our child will be born, and I have many names for him or maybe her in my mind."
"How about Luca? Merville would be another, and if there would be a chance another child may be born, Francheska is also a decent one."
Olga silently agreed, feeling the movements of their child in her belly.
And while they began to return to their chamber to rest and sleep, they noticed that the skies outside no longer had the dark, ominous clouds that were being seen for hundreds of years.
Flora all around the Lands of Darkness were now allowed to grow, and the many groups of Demons that had banded together to try to take control over the Dark Castle had suddenly stopped their activity, as they were forced to rely on attacking humans to gain an upper hand.
The Demonic Blood War was moments from beginning. And it will affect Eostia in many ways.
