Capítulo 47: Hatred from a mother

Tears streamed down my face as I stood in my room and stared out at the reception area below. As I stood there in a lovely dress, all by myself, in pain, I could see Daniel disputing with his mother. Why she believed it would be okay to interrupt a wedding reception to tell the bride she wasn't good enough baffles me. My father did all in his power to make me look bad in order to give my sister my job, so I was familiar with the sense of not being good enough. He despised me so severely that he permitted the Alpha to assassinate my mother. My hand was taken by an arm, jerking me out of my reverie.

As I turned to face Ethan, he added, "Sarah, this is your wedding day; don't let her ruin it."

How should I go about doing this? As Ethan blasted me with magic, I muttered, "I didn't even know he had a mother to come, and the worst thing is she came to hate me. As his strength swept through me, I gazed into his gentle gray eyes.
