Capítulo 102: REX'S HOUSE

Upon arriving at Rex's house, my mouth hung open. If I had thought Lily's house was big, then his was definitely a mansion. My head was literally spinning three sixty degrees as I was trying to take in everything.

"Come on inside," he invited me.

The interior was even more breathtaking, leaving me speechless.

"Sweetheart, is that you?" someone called from upstairs.

Rex jumped a bit, clearly surprised. "Mum, yes, it's me. I thought you had some kind of meeting," he replied.

"Yeah, but I still had a little bit of time to spend with you before traveling out. Anyways, I made lunch without Dwayne's help," she said, beaming as she finally came downstairs.

"I didn't realize you brought Sydney too," she remarked.

"Yeah, and she will be sleeping over too," Rex added.

I stiffened, looking from Rex to Ms. Sophie. What would her reaction be?

"Is anything the matter?" she asked, mostly out of worry.
