Mars Base.
The spaceship nestled in the base, shielded by an expansive protective cover. Several other sizable ships dotted the landscape, stirring excitement among the Predators, especially Scar. He recognized those vessels as belonging to another civilization—Titan.
The soldiers escorting them, with heat-ray emitting eyes, dealt with any unruly individuals. A few troublemakers faced the consequences and were escorted away with a hum.
Inside the mountain, an underground base had taken shape.
"I believe you'll appreciate it here. I forgot to mention, you might be familiar with our neighbor."
Neighbor? Not Titans with colossal bodies, but Predator Warriors, imprisoned alongside an Alien Queen and Predator Alien, gazing at the scene in disbelief.
Where did Varion acquire all these entities?
In the main control room, Varion monitored the unfolding events.
"How's the progress on the new spaceship, Mousse?"
"Sir, it's at 70% completion, but the materials are suboptimal. We might need to dismantle all the Titan spaceships. It'll take about a month before our new spaceship is operational."
"Proceed with it! What about the analysis of the Predator Spaceship?"
"Completed. We've acquired all their technology and the star map."
Varion's eyes brightened. The Predator Spaceship, being the elder's flagship, provided a comprehensive star map and most of their technology. This was a significant advantage for Varion.
"We're facing a critical issue now, and it's our top priority."
"What is it?"
"Energy. Our current energy source won't support robust development. We need to find a new energy solution."
Frowning, Varion acknowledged the impending challenge. Future interstellar travel would require substantial supplies, and the current scientific research vessel would not suffice. He aimed to build a new spaceship, utilizing the excellent alloys from the Titan spacecraft. These alloys, along with special ones mined on Mars, would be used to create a new scientific research vessel that could meet their energy and other requirements.
"Let's prioritize Fixed Star capture."
"Fixed Star capture and utilization technology?" Mousse was momentarily taken aback. As an artificial intelligence, such situations were unusual. Varion's mention of this technology left Mousse in awe, even during Krypton's peak; such technology wasn't employed casually, as it was considered inhumane and against the interests of interstellar civilization.
Thor's weapon, Mjolnir, in the Marvel universe is crafted from a neutron star that has reached the final stage of a fixed star, also functioning as a pulsar. This unique composition allows for the application of both magic and technology.
Krypton's technology incorporates a similar concept to the Dyson sphere proposed by human scientists. The Dyson sphere theory revolves around constructing an artificial celestial body with a diameter of around 200 million kilometers, enveloping a fixed star to harness its energy, essentially creating a natural nuclear fusion reactor. This concept aligns with the pursuit of endless energy through nuclear fusion research.
Krypton's technology, however, takes the idea of fixed star capture and utilization to a whole new level. It represents a standard technology indicative of a higher-level civilization. The ability to hold a fixed star in one's hand symbolizes unparalleled power.
The process of capturing and shrinking a fixed star isn't a mere physical reduction. There are two potential methods to achieve this goal:
1. Dimensional Reduction: Altering the dimensions of the fixed star without fundamentally changing its nature. This allows for the direct and complete utilization of the fixed star's energy.
2. Secondly, the space containing the Fixed Star is directly distorted, bent, and folded, achieving the purpose of folding. The original space occupied by the Fixed Star remains unchanged but is compressed in the real world.
The outcome is apparent; once the Fixed Star of a particular galaxy is removed, the life forms in that galaxy face a high likelihood of extinction. Hence, even Krypton seldom employs this technology.
"Mousse, don't worry. There are over 300 billion Fixed Stars in the Milky Way alone. We just need to locate galaxies without life."
"No, sir. According to the Kryptonian Code, we do not possess such authority. If you use such technology, sir, you may commit a Class A crime."
In the beginning, Jor-El's theft of the Code of Life was only a B-type crime. A-type crimes could result in imprisonment in the phantom zone, and the sentence might even extend to hundreds of thousands of years.
Varion raised his eyebrows, "Mousse, if I remember correctly, I have the authority of The Council of Five, through my grandfather? Now, I can assert that I hold the highest authority since every other members are dead. So from now onwards you will only execute my orders!"
"As you wish, sir."
