Capítulo 32: Chapter 32: Preparations

*Vote Plz*

'Batter' Joe was dead.

He lay on the side of the small road with his legs apart, leaning against the building behind him. Aside from the dagger lodged in his chest, even his round top hat was still neatly placed on his head, making him look like a wandering poet, lost in thought, contemplating his next poem.

But he was indeed dead.

"How is this possible..."

In front of a silent circle of family members, 'Big Bucks' Thompson stared at the body leaning against the wall, his facial features contorted. After a few seconds of shock, he suddenly rushed forward and kicked Joe's body.

Bang!

Joe's corpse was sent rolling, and the hat fell off. Even the last shred of 'dignity' was lost.

"You stand up, you worthless piece of trash!!"

Bang!

He kicked Joe's lifeless body once again, and the family members behind him felt a collective chill, as if that kick was aimed at them.

"You ate mine, lived in mine, played with mine—without my orders, who allowed you to die?!"

···

The reason 'Big Bucks' Thompson was so agitated was that 'Batter' Joe had very few weaknesses and was very experienced in battle. Theoretically, he was challenging to kill.

Yet, from the time they sensed the fight to when they rushed over with others, it took just a few short minutes.

The fact that the opponents could kill Joe in mere minutes, leaving him with no chance to escape, meant that killing Thompson wouldn't be difficult either!

That was why Thompson was so alarmed and angry. Others could die, but he was the 'Underground Emperor' who controlled the destinies of tens of thousands of people. How could he die? How could he allow himself to die?!

"Mr. Thompson,"

At this critical moment, 'Flower Necktie' Paul stepped forward and stopped their boss from indulging in this futile act of beating the dead body.

"Please calm down. Although Joe is dead, he revealed the enemy's 'means' to us."

?

"Please have a look,"

Bending down and turning Joe's body over, Paul pointed to the bloodstains on his cheeks.

"Joe's ears have bloodstains, but there are no signs of the ear canal being damaged."

"This indicates that he suffered from intense sound wave attacks while alive."

After saying this, Paul, wearing a scarf, stood up and pointed to the cracks in the walls on both sides of the battlefield, as well as the occasional marks left by Vergo's baseball bat.

"There were two opponents, and both were very small in stature. The marks left by Joe's baseball bat hardly exceeded a height of 1.3 meters."

"From these battle traces and Joe's body, we can deduce that Joe was under constant suppression during the fight."

After finishing his analysis, Paul sighed.

"But he didn't expect the enemy to possess a technique, weapon, or ability that could create terrifying sound waves... That's why he was turned over instantly and couldn't even escape. It's a real pity."

"Hmph,"

After Paul, the 'Flower Necktie,' finished analyzing, 'Big Bucks' Thompson also calmed down.

Tidying up his collar that had become disheveled due to intense movement, Thompson looked at the body on the ground with disdain. Then, he turned his head to survey the surroundings and calmly gave an order.

"Burn the area within a hundred meters around here!"

"Consider it a farewell for Joe."

···

"Yes!"

When their boss spoke, the gang members immediately responded. No matter how "absurd" this order might seem, they would execute it with meticulous care!

This was the authority Thompson had built up with iron and blood over the past decade.

"Paul, Vincento, accompany me for a meal—"

When Thompson arrived at the 'Gilded Rose' restaurant, he immediately caused a commotion.

Seeing the boss of the Jeet Family and two executives with stern faces, the people in the restaurant quickly scattered in a panic. Although they were considered "big shots" in the eyes of ordinary people, compared to the man in front of them, they were obviously not worth mentioning. "Boss, it's just a temporary setback..."

When the frightened waiter brought the food, 'Big Bucks' Thompson grabbed a rack of ribs with his rough hands, disregarding his eating manners, and stuffed it into his mouth, causing 'Flower Necktie' Paul to express his concern.

"You know what, Paul, I'm really hungry right now!"

Decades ago, this town didn't have 'Big Bucks' Thompson; it had 'Bald Bug' Thompson. Back then, he was also an orphan, staring at everything around him with wolf-like hunger.

Tearing, robbing, devouring...

After swallowing a few mouthfuls of meat on the table, the former fighting spirit returned to this underground ruler.

"Next, it's our hunting time."

Throwing the bones in his hand onto the messy and exquisite dining table, the feRosinanteous Thompson turned around coldly and gave another order.

"Burn this place too!"

···

"Shock Bomb?"

"Yes, you can think of it as a whistle that can produce a huge sound."

On the Plat-H Tower, Rosinante handed the 'Shock Bomb' to Doflamingo, explaining to him and the curious Toribor in the process.

"By using the explosion's shockwave to produce a massive sound wave, it can injure enemies. Be careful; this thing is a double-edged sword for you guys."

The Silent Fruit might lack 'lethality,' but as the saying goes, 'If the mountain won't come to me, I'll go to the mountain.'

The Silent Fruit counters the 'Sound-Sound Fruit,' can also block Charlotte Linlin's 'Soul Pocus,' and might even suppress Kaido's 'Warutaka'...

So, could the reverse be true? Could they use the characteristic of sound blocking to launch indiscriminate sound wave attacks?

If it were a regular bomb, with the high mobility of everyone in this world, it would be challenging to hit someone unless they played the "return to sender" game with the bomb. Otherwise, it would be tough to catch someone with it.

However, the 'sound wave' caused by the Shock Bomb was not easy to evade, but it also did not discriminate between friend and foe. Besides Rosinante, who could utilize the 'Silent Ability,' anyone else who used it would also be affected.

"No,"

Doflamingo shook his head, excitement spreading across his face.

"Just now, Rosinante, you said that if we add 'magnesium powder' inside, we can create a 'Flash Bomb' that emits intense light, right?"

"Yes···"

"Great! Make some for us."

?

Looking around: Doflamingo with his oval sunglasses, Vergo with square sunglasses, Toribor with round sunglasses, Diamante with brown sunglasses...

??

"Flash Bomb... Alright, it does suit you guys."

Rosinante glanced at the 'Honest Man' Pica and contemplated whether he should also get a pair of sunglasses. Otherwise, if Doflamingo and the others threw Flash Bombs during a fight, it would be comical if he got his eyes dazzled.

Reality was not a game, and there was no "team immunity" setting.

Of course, all these things were just extra equipment.

"Don't overly rely on external items; these things can only deal with... strong individuals."

Before transmigration, Rosinante was a tech geek who enjoyed making "toys." Never did he imagine that one day his technical skills would be used to create these things. It was truly ironic.

"True strength lies in a powerful body."

Rosinante remembered the Gaya Island during the Skypiea Arc, where the monkey captain of the professional salvage team, who possessed the 'Destruction Roar' soundwave technique, could even shatter the ship's hull with it!

The sound...

And that monkey captain had a bounty of over 36 million.

This showed that even against opponents with a bounty of over 30 million, the Shock Bombs made by Rosinante would at most have a "startling" effect.

Even Rosinante, if he knew in advance that the opponent was throwing a 'Shock Bomb,' could cover his ears, close his eyes, roll, and retreat. He wouldn't be unable to endure it.

"Fufufu, that's right."

"True strength comes from within!"

Putting down the bomb in his hand, Doflamingo held up a barrel of alcohol much larger than himself, doing squats with sweat pouring down. The visible changes in Rosinante during this period made him feel a sense of crisis, and the addition of the Toribor Quartet only heightened it.

Although Rosinante prevented them from becoming "family," the Quartet's attitude towards Toribor was clearly one of respect and compliance.

Combined with Rosinante's lack of interest in "power," everyone automatically accepted Doflamingo as the captain of the Plat-H Tower.

Since he became the boss, he had to show his "boss" demeanor!
