Capítulo 198: Gone But Never Forgotten (UMU!)
Entry 171:
Linus Ozias POV:
As the leader of the Hun empire eats literally right out of my hand, I look behind me to see all of my companions staring at me as Ritsuka eyes the cookies and Mash deadpans me. I myself am cool as a cucumber as Altera eats the food and asks in a small voice, "What is this sorcery?" I shake my head and say, "It's cooking, Altera, and it's only the tip of the iceberg if you decide to join us."
Altera seems almost hesitant, but a look into her mind says otherwise. "What should I do?! I have never been in a situation like this before. Or maybe I have? Something to do with a moon cell. I am so tempted, and the head pats feel nice."
Internally, I am smiling as Altera holds the grail and gives it to me, and she says in a regal tone of voice, "I shall follow you and see if you can show me other nice things."
I take the grail in one hand and grasp her other hand and the contract forms, and wow, I thought Karna was draining. She is a level above him. In truth, it makes sense since she wields the weapon of the god Mars, and she is a well-known historical figure.
Yet as the contract forms, her eyes glow yellow, and she looks at me in shock. All she utters is two words, "Yellow Star," before she then disappears into my shadow.
"Well, that was odd. I guess she saw my innate nature, which might be due to my out-of-context existence, which to others may seem similar to an ultimate one or type." I think to myself, and as I take the grail and hand it to Mash, I look to everyone and say, "Well done, all of you. I cannot thank each one of you enough."
I then look to Nero, who seems distant, and as I approach her, I place a hand on her shoulder and say, "It was an honor and privilege to be in your company, Nero, and I will always remember our time together."
Nero then gives me a solemn look as she says softly, "I had a feeling. My intuition is pretty sharp, you see. You're going to disappear like Altera, my uncle, and the Holy Progenitor. Boudica, will you, as well? Jing Ke, Lu Bu, Spartacus?"
I give her a sad nod and say, "Yes, all of us must return to our own homes, and you shall forget ever meeting us." Nero then, with small tears in her eyes, gives me a hug as she says quietly, "Can you not leave? Must it be so soon?" Ritsuka then chimes in and says, "Sorry, but we are on a tight schedule as these grails will destroy all of human history if left alone."
Nero tightens her hold and says, "Will you leave me? Just like my uncle, my mother, and everyone else?" I give her a nod, and she then looks me in the eyes as I say, "You may forget us, but I have a gift for you."
I then hand her a necklace with a symbol of Nero's sword next to the symbol of the blood angels as I then continue, "If you ever feel doubt or feel like you are slipping, simply hold on to the necklace and know that you are not alone. Even if you can't see us, we are still here always and forever."
Nero then looks at the necklace and, with a small smile, says, "I have never been given so fine a gift. You really know how to play with a woman's emotions, Ozias. I don't want you to leave. I want to show you all the glory of Rome and some of the sights."
With a smile, I answer, "Then you will show us the sights through that necklace. We will always be with you even if you may not remember, and in your darkest hour, you will know peace." Nobu then remarks, "Stand proud, Nero! We all won the day! Show us all that bright smile that annoys me so much!"
Artoria then says in her piece, "Even in our darkest moments, our memories of others, even if we may not remember them, shall always be our bastion against despair. Stand proud and press. I am honored to have fought beside you."
Karna gives her a nod as Mash walks over and places a hand on Nero's palm and says, "In the short time we have traveled together, you have shown me your positivity and your radiance, and for someone like me, that truly will never understand, it was fun. Thank you for the beautiful moments."
Nero then stands up and places the necklace on, and with small tears in her eyes, she says proudly, "Then I am honored by your praise and will work tirelessly to see you all again! May Rome be with you all, warriors of Chaldea! Umu, I will show you all my radiance and have history show me as such!"
Fierce Proclamation, the ray shift begins to activate, and all of our servants return to our shadows other than Mash, and we begin to disappear, but before I can completely fade, Nero walks up to me and gives me a small kiss and before we leave this time, I hear her shout "An empress must reward her subjects should they, not? I will find you again! Umu Linus Ozias, you will see me again!"
Then, as we fade back to the future, the Empress stands alone on a hill overlooking the rising sun. Yet, as she looks around in confusion, Nero says, "Why am I here? I should be in Rome. I must have drank too much wine and shown the world my splendor, umu."
But as she walks away to find the main road, she finds the necklace on her, and as she looks at it, she mutters, "It is so fine a gift. I wonder who made it?"
Yet as she tries to remember, all she can feel is a pleasant warmth enveloping her being, and as she smiles, she says to herself, "It must be a gift from the gods! Umu, I must truly be their chosen champion. Now let me see if I may find transport." Nero then begins her journey back to Rome, and so ends Septem yet more grails remain.
-Chaldea Main Base- (Antarctica, 2014)
As the coffins open, Ritsuka, Mash, and I exit with Fou popping out of my hood, and as he stretches, I hand him to Mash, who falls asleep in her arms.
Ritsuka then gasps and says, "Oz, we forgot something important!" I look at her as she says, "We went to Rome but had no pizza!" I then sigh to myself and form a pizza, which during Roman times was merely flatbread topped with cheese, honey, fruits like dates and figs, nuts, or vegetables.
I then handed it to her as she said, "I can always count on you, Oz." She gives me a thumbs up, but before she can eat it, Olga walks in and takes it from her while saying in a reprimanding tone of voice, "This is not the place for eating, Ritsuka! And you!"
She then points at me and beckons me forward, and instead of reprimanding me, she embraces me and says quietly, "Don't do that again. I can't lose another friend."
I pat her on the back, and as she lets go, blushing at the current scenario, she clears her throat and says, "Well, that is another Singularity cleared. Well done, all of you. currently, we are trying to triangulate the location and time of the next Singularity, and it should take only two days at most." We nod as Mash then hands the grail to Olga, who places it into a briefcase.
Da Vinci then comes over to the PA and says [ Well done, you three! Now it's time for all of you to rest! And no complaints, Ozias. Even if I want to dissect your physiology, we cannot have any of you in less than tip-top shape.]
Dissection threat aside, I nod as Ritsuka then grabs the pizza and runs away with Olga chasing after her. The servants then appear, and I look to each one of them and say, "Thank you all for aiding us in that Singularity. Feel free to relax or train in the simulator for the next few days. But if any of you wish to spar with me, just ask. Now I must return to my quarters although Artoria, I left a bunch of food in the cafe for you in addition to each one of you. It is a part of your reward for a job well done."
Artoria's eyes then shine as she mana bursts her way to the cafeteria, with Nobu following while yelling at Artoria, "That food is not there. When I get there, there will be hell to pay!" Karna then gives me a look and says, "While you are out of the ordinary, I did enjoy the experience and hope I may be of use in the future."
I give him a nod and say, "All of you are important, and each one of you will play a very integral role in all of this, and I could not ask any more of any of you. I am proud to be your master. Now you should go as those two may eat through your food." Karna then slightly smiles as he vanishes. Mash then leaves the room with Fou to keep Olga from killing Ritsuka after giving myself a small bow.
The room is then silent as Altera forms in front of me and asks, "What are you? I have fought gods and demons for thousands of years, yet you are an anomaly. Even if the world blesses you and holds the strength of an angel, you should not be this strong in the physical realm?"
I give her a sly smirk as I state, "My existence, as well as my past, is a bit beyond your comprehension, as well as the fact that you are going to need to earn that information. Think of it as a game."
Altera then tilts her head and asks, "What is a game?" As I groan, I walk with her to my lab /room and attempt to explain games to an alien hun warlord.
Another day in paradise, at least for me. Most of the time, at least.
Third Person POV
Amongst endless space, a glowing temple stands floating, shining brighter than the nearby stars, with a man sitting atop the throne with his eyes closed and ten rings upon his fingers.
As a writhing mass of flesh and eyes forms before the man atop the throne, it speaks of the past.
[Septem has fallen, and Haures has gone offline.]
[Attempts to recreate the fallen have met with failure. An anomaly has appeared.]
"I know. I cannot see what occurred in Fuyuki, but I can glean what happened before his demise. A new player has appeared, but his origin is unknown. But it matters not as even the world cannot stop this. I will give rise to my humanity no matter the cost. Send our ally to the world of water to begin her plan."
The fleshy mass then disappears as the man smiles, showing a more demonic visage as he says to the void, "Let us see this new player in action, shall we?" The man then rises from the throne and walks to the edge of the temple, and stares at the vast emptiness.
Then, as quickly as he appears next to the ledge, many writhing tentacle creatures emerge from the ground with the man smiling as he says, "I will show you that my way is true. All will know perfection whether they wish to or not."
The temple is then covered in dark tentacles and as their many eyes open they light the void red as haunting laughter can be heard.
