"Damn it!" 

Jules almost forgot as she noticed the time when the designer pulled out the new clock they bought for the place.

She agreed they should put it in the middle of the wall, just above the counter, where many would see it. It was not the centerpiece of their decoration, but it was relevant in the collection's entirety.

"What is it? Is there a problem?" The woman asked, looking slightly concerned. "Don't you like the clock? I thought we already agreed..."

But she stopped her before the woman had a heart attack, assuming the wrong thing. "No. It is not that." She quickly shook her head.

"I just remember I have to be somewhere in a few minutes." She immediately explained. 

It was supposed to be her, her friend, and her stepsister. But she believed Thalia would not make it since she would seem to be somewhere else.
