Of course, she finally said yes, but with one condition. They had to take it slow.

"I will stay and work on this marriage, but you have to promise to put an equal effort into this relationship." She thought that was the only way they could build a family.

She did not doubt that Damon could be a good father. She had seen how he was with Oliver. But as her husband, she was still skeptical. 

Nonetheless, she had seen what he was willing to sacrifice for Oliver. Therefore, she could not see any problem in taking a leap of faith and trusting her gut.

"I promise. Trust me. I will do everything to make this marriage work." He told her, appearing sincere with his words. And somehow, she believed him.

Furthermore, she only saw a win-win solution to all their problems. It could be a brand new start to their lives. Although, on the downside, she would have to give up on finding love again.
