Capítulo 4: CHAPTER 4: HER GOLDEN FINGER 2

Tapiwa strolled across the aisles with her hands behind her back, surveying this golden finger that had appeared at just the perfect time.

In a time of need, she was given something she desperately desired.

Taking care of the elderly lady had spent her finances, and there was nothing luxurious to eat at home, and even ordinary things had become difficult to stomach.

She was completely broke, and eating good food had become a luxury, so she was compelled to trek to the mountains every day to obtain sustenance.

Her remaining funds were all set aside for medical expenditures, but now that the old lady was gone, her funds were preserved.

Her golden finger was a three-dimensional convenience store. Although the store didn't appear to be as crowded as she had seen in another world when she worked in a convenience store and worked the night shift, this was perfect for her.

The convenience store was probably about twelve square meters in size, with numerous shelf rows containing at least one food item that was virtually necessary for survival.

Aside from the food section, which included grains, meat, vegetables, snacks, and beverages, there was a common restroom with a toilet and a small bedroom with a single bed for relaxing.

The store had power and running water. She had no idea where all of this was coming from, but after everything she had been through, she knew not to be very curious.

The rest didn't matter as long as it was useful to her.

'I'm not sure how this will work, but I genuinely hope that it will be with me forever. The thought of not having enough food makes me quiver with horror,' she trembled.

Tapiwa took her time taking everything in and writing it down. And after spending a lot of time inside, she was relieved to learn that as long as she stayed alone or with at least five visitors, she wouldn't have to worry about food for at least a week.

However, she didn't know whether she would still get anything once the food was gone, so she decided that she wasn't going to indulge and waste the food until she could afford to do so. She was going to be economical and live the life she doesn't want in order to have the kind of life she desires in the future.

Feeling hungry after going without food for a night and a day, Tapiwa, who didn't have anything to cook in her kitchen, grabbed the only loaf of bread on the shelf and a bottle of juice from the fridge and left the convenience store, reappearing in the bedroom.

She naturally sat back down on the bed and ate her food with a smile on her face.

She felt extremely good about herself after tasting the food for the first time, even though it was only a few slices of bread.

Bread existed in her world, but it wasn't as light and fluffy as what she was eating.

Furthermore, white flour was fairly expensive, so baking and eating such bread will be regarded as a luxury.

It was better to sell it and get money than to eat it and waste it. So, having the privilege of consuming unusual cuisines that she doubted the royal family had ever had before, Tapiwa felt for the first time that she was someone, which was pretty exhilarating.

She felt rather active after eating her breakfast, and the room was stifling because the door and window had been closed for far too long.

She opened the window and noticed that night was approaching.

She then checked the lamp for oil and, seeing how little there was, turned it off before leaving the bedroom.

The light would not be lit unless absolutely required because the oil was fairly expensive and she still wanted to save. She'd already made a mistake by lighting the lamp earlier and wasting the oil when she didn't even need the light to begin with.

Tapiwa lived on a desolate estate, which was one of the reasons she was able to purchase it three years ago.

The twenty hectares of land became waste after many years of drought. The owners simply wanted to get rid of the land because it was no longer arable.

Drinking water was already a problem, and living on the estate was like inviting an early death. Tapiwa would have died of thirst if it hadn't been for the river two kilometers away from the estate.

The first building on the estate was the house she was presently residing in, which had three bedrooms, a kitchen and a reception hall. The other building contained three rooms, one bedroom, a small kitchen and a reception hall, but the rooms in this structure were considerably smaller than the rooms in her house.

The kitchen, latrine, and bathhouse were the other buildings accessible.

Because these buildings were closer to the road, Tapiwa could naturally see people going by, making her days more exciting as time passed.

There wasn't much furniture in the house since she couldn't afford it and, because she was living alone, she felt it wasn't worth it.

She was dissatisfied with the house now that she had seen other lovely houses in her fantasies.

At the very least, she desired to live in a home that would make her smile even in her dreams and was custom-designed to her needs rather than taking what was offered to her.

However, for the first time, Tapiwa recognized a chance, a source of income, and optimism when she looked at the hectares of wasteland in her name.

Whatever it took, she was going to convert this piece of land into a haven and a place where people would do anything to stay.

She was going to do the unthinkable, going against all odds to realize that nascent dream that was growing deep within her heart.

It didn't matter how long it was going to take; she was going to make it. She wasn't going to let life beat her to it and make her live as an ordinary person, come hell or high water.

She was picked because she was born to be great, and she was going to let her brilliance shine and show the world what she was created to do.

She was going to rise, and above all, let everyone witness her supremacy.
