Capítulo 37: AWKWARD MOMENT

The next morning, Emily slumber was shattered by the persistent knocking on the door. Groggy and disoriented, she stumbled out of bed and shuffled towards the door, her eyes still shrouded in a sleepy haze.

As she swung open the door, she was met face to face with Robert. "What do you want?" She grumbled, her voice filled with irritation, as he stifled a yawn.

"I wanted to check on you since..." He saw saying when Emily interrupted him, her tone firm but fragile.

"Just leave me alone, okay?" She said, her eyes flashing with a mix of exhaustion and exasperation.

As she turned to retreat, Robert's eyes widened in surprise, but he quickly regained his composure.

"Go away," she said, as she turned back and pushed the door shut. She walked into the bathroom, feeling drained and vulnerable.
