Ikerth was approached by this new Extinction Legion because he held control over Zotov, so Miranda didn't want any one person holding control over the whole planet since the Extinction Legion might just somehow entice that person to their side.

She also wanted Zotov to be in the Argent Empire, because the new Extinction Legion knew Argent wasn't somewhere to mess with and stayed far from it.
