Contrary to its name, the Death Elixir was a potion that could not harm anyone. It got that name because of what happened during the testing phase. Dwarves were knowledgeable and intelligent creatures. They were the ones who made the biggest changes and revolutionary breakthroughs in terms of technology.
Proud but honest at the same time, the dwarves decided to stop selling this elixir because of what happened when they tried it. The reason they did so was simple. The Death Elixir was an elixir that could put a person to sleep for at least three days straight, depending on the dose used.
When the dwarves who first tried it fell asleep for more than three days, the other dwarves thought they were dead and buried them. Some of the dwarves were buried in stone blocks instead of in the ground, and that is how some of them lost their lives.
