Alora hadn't woken up since yesterday evening. Austin had quickly switched identies already and this one was terrible. Austin was scrolling through his phone and Calum was sitting beside her hospital bed and waiting for the slightest flutter in her eyelashes.
Austin had woken up a few days before her and the doctors thought it was just stress that caused her to faint. The worst part is that Austin couldn't remember his previous identities. Sometimes he was able to. That was how it normally was.
"What the hell?" Alora groaned and slowly opened her eyes.
"Miss Silver." Calum held her hand. "You were in a coma."
"For how long?" She sat up, alarmed.
"Throughout the weekend. This is Tuesday. But don't worry, I called your school board and family and informed them that you were involved in a bit if an accident."
"Don't worry about me." She closed her eyes and then quickly opened them. "Ausrin." She grabbed Calum's collar. "Where is he? Us he alright? What happened?"
She bombarded him with questions and before he could answer, Austin stood up, walked to her bed and sat on it.
She immediately hugged him and Calum drew his breath.
He advanced, attempting to stop her but Austin gave him a death look. No one was allowed to touch him, talk less of hug him.
"Young Second Master," Calum started. "I am sure Miss Silver didn't mean it."
He just lifted a hand at Calum and Alora released him. Normally, he would down her with compliments or pat her head.
"Tell me, what is your name?" He looked at her as if trying to peek into her soul.
"I am Alora. Alora Silver."
He lifted her chin. "Such a beautiful name."
Her face turned pink and she attempted to hide them from him so she turned away but he forcefully turned her face. His fingers dug into her skin and she flinched.
"Second Master, you are hurting her." Calum warned. "If you hurt her, she is going to feel it."
Austin let go and left the room. Calum rushed to her,not knowing what to say. Alora took out a tissue from it's box and wiped the spots of blood from her chin.
She squirted some hand sanitizer onto her palm and rubbed it on the wound. She sighed and faced Calum.
"Care to explain what happened since I was unconscious?"
It was his turn to sigh. He pulled the chair that Austin had recently vacated near the bed, sat on it and began.
"Austin has a dissociative identity disorder, also known as multiple personality disorder. Do you remember that day at the hotel?"
"Yes." She nodded.
"His disorder was triggered that day and since you were unconscious, he had been like this. You just experienced one of his three personalities first-hand."
"What are the others like?" She had to know.
"This one is the dangerous madman. The other, is our Austin."
"How about the last one?" She wanted to know them all. "You said that they were three and you mentioned only two."
"The last one acts like a love-sick teenager. He was..." His face and ears turned bright red. "He was a homosexualist."
She quickly got the gist. That was enough info. Calum left her to absorb the new data that she had acquired. It would be useful to her.
