Capítulo 29: Guilt..

I put some [Seal Talismans] outside the door and on the floor, covering the original patterns and runes.

I also took the chance to understand the runes and spells that were used here.

"Do you understand them?"

"Not yet, but I only need to remember them for later."

"Right, your memory."

"Yeah..." Arella and I were the only ones here; the elders are still investigating who tempered with the Great Door.

"Arella, if and only if something happens here, don't doubt going to earth; I will take care of both of you."

"Thank you, Isaac, but Master Azar, give me a responsibility, and I intend to keep it."

"Raven will need her mother."

"And Azarath, a leader."

(Sigh.) "Understood, I will take care of her."

(Giggle) "I know, you will."

*******************

After two days, I finally decided to leave Azarath. Although Raven wasn't happy, she understood why, and having Nayru by her side helped a lot.

"You're leaving.."

"Yes, little sister, don't forget to listen to your mother, and if anything happens, Nayru will tell me, and I will come, ok?"

I remember when she was just a little girl; now she is a lot more mature and, best of all, a little more expressive.

"Yeah." She looked a little down.

"Good." I just put my right hand in her head.

 *Pat* *pat*

{Take care of her, Nayru}

~Yes, Master~

I turned around and walked to the portal. I had already said my goodbyes to the elders and Arella.

The destination of my portal was my old room on the Kent farm. Stepping out of it, I got rid of my robes and put on more casual clothes.

"It's that you, Isaac?" I heard my mom downstairs.

"Yes, mom!!"

 "Come here"

"Coming!!" Some things don't change.

Going downstairs, I saw my mother baking something.

{By the smell, I guess cookies?}

 "Cookies?"

"That's correct; these are for a charity event here in Smallville."

"I see"

"How have you been, my boy?" She looked at me in the eyes.

"Pretty well, mom; although some things have been hard, it's not something I cannot take."

"I'm glad," she said, grabbing my hands.

*Smile*

"indeed..."

*Creack*

The front door just opened, and my father came to the house.

"Isaac, how are you doing, son?"

"Hha.ha..ha..pretty well, dad."

"What?"

**************

I only stayed two days with my parents; after all, I was just there to check on them, but I got useful information about Clark.

{Everything has been smooth sailing for my brother}

He is soon graduating from Metropolis College, and according to my parents, he will get a degree in journalism there too.

{So i got two or three years top, until he applies to the daily planet, and soon he will become superman, not much time left...}

"I need to pick up the pace with the dungeons."

*****

After a couple of days of resting and reading, I finally decided to go to the dungeon. I'm in one of the many houses that I own.

{My first expert dungeon, and I guess it will be more difficult.}

[Necropolis Dungeon Key (lvl. 35–lvl. 45)]

{Necropolis, so undead, and maybe even litchy or dark mages. I need to prepare some light runes and talismans}

After preparing the runes, talismans, and potions, I used the [Dungeon Key] to open the door of the bathroom.

In a flash of light, I was transported to somewhere else. I was on the floor with my eyes closed, but my other senses worked perfectly.

I smelled something moist, something old, something... rotten.

{Well, this is the first time that this happens}

I tried to move my arms, and I could move them, but barely. That's how I knew that my eyes weren't closed; instead, I was in a dark, closed space.

{Maybe a coffin or a box, well first [Dark Vision]..} Now that I can see better, I was indeed in a sealed box, unfortunately.

{Hmm...why am I here like this?}

"Wherever, let me get out of here first."

*Crack*

 *Fwip*

*Crash*

The top of the box was cut in two, and one of the parts went flying, impacting itself on a wall.

I observed my surroundings, and I noticed that I'm in an old house with a bunch of rotten corpses on the floor.

"Lovely ..."

 POV Eric

{It was my fault}

Our party arrived at the Necropolis City of Aldur. Here,  our mission is to recuperate the elixir of life that the [Elder Litch Rathaar] stole from Yssar.

{It was my fault}

We had traveled for three days straight, so we are taking a rest outside of the city.

"What's the plan, Eric?" Tannya, the new addition to our party,

"Plain and simple, we locate the litch, kill it, and recover the elixir."

"I second that plan."

"Thanks, Guts"

"Boys, please be more tactical; are we going to fight the entire city?"

"If that's necessary, yes!"

"That's suicide, Eric, and you know that."

"Then you have a better plan, Mary!" Without realizing it, I was raising my voice to the point of screaming at her.

"I'm sorry, Mary."

{It was my fault.}

 "...."

 *Clap*

"Ok, everyone is tired. Let's go to sleep. I will take the first guard."

"Thank you, Tannya." I stood up and went to my tent.

After a couple of hours, Guts woke me up to replace him, not that I could sleep much either.

I still remember that day as if it were yesterday. Why did took that decision? I knew something was wrong. Why?

{It was my fault}

I took a seat at the campfire, and apparently I was the last on guard, because after a couple of hours I could see the sun rise on the horizon.

"Did you sleep, Eric?" I looked to the side, and I saw Tannya.

"A little. I'm worried about our mission."

"That's all you are worried about?"

"Yes, that's all."

"You stink at lying, you know." She took a seat next to me.

"I killed her. Tannya. I killed Ari."

*********

*Aaarww*

*Raagghhrrt*

 *Crac..crac..crac*

{This is a horror movie with zombies and skeletons everywhere. I hate the smell and the sounds.}

Luckily, I put my usual talismans for infiltration. I have been exploring this city for a couple of hours now, and I still can't find my objectives.

{I guess I need to keep looking}

I moved closer to the center of the city. This city was big—not as big as a modern one—but I'm pretty sure that it can have at least ten thousand citizens at once.

The architecture remains to me of medieval Europe; it had a grand cathedral and, I assume, a governor house in the middle.

 *RAARRRWWWAARRGGH*

I heard commotion in the outer layer of the city, fighting, and that fighting was agitating the horde of zombies and skeletons.

 *Thud*

*Thud*

 *Thud*

They were marching to the origin of the sound; whoever they were, they are fu***d, but then I received a notification...
