Capítulo 1450: -1431- The spreading rumors

Afterward, Rozen no longer paid attention to the situation with Team E601. He neither visited their team room again nor offered any further guidance. Instead, he simply provided them access to his private training ground, allowing them to use it freely while he immersed himself in research within the Alchemist Division.

At this point, Rozen was not yet officially the instructor for Team E601, and he had already given them everything they needed. Whatever they managed to achieve or any problems that arose were entirely up to them and had nothing to do with Rozen.

Rozen only needed to focus on one thing—monitoring the results of Team E601's next two ranking matches.

If Team E601 could pass Rozen's test, he would naturally fulfill his promise and become their instructor. If not, Rozen wouldn't have any regrets either.

This wasn't Rozen being heartless.

"I've already given them what they need. If they still can't win, then they have no one else to blame."

As mentioned before, purely in terms of strength, except for Misora, both Rico and Lecty should not lose to A-rank teams. Rozen had already provided them with the key to fully unleash their potential and had even given Misora the opportunity to become stronger. If, under these circumstances, Team E601 still couldn't win their two ranking matches, what else could Rozen say?

Therefore, this wasn't about Rozen being cold-hearted. It was about the fact that he had done everything he could. If they still couldn't achieve their goal, then it was because the members of Team E601 were not making an effort, not understanding the situation, or simply had no idea what they were doing. Entering the battlefield in such a state would only lead to their eventual demise at the hands of the Armored Beetles.

Rather than letting that happen, it would be better for them to give up becoming Sky Wizards and live as ordinary people. At least that way, they might survive.

This world is harsh and unforgiving, leaving no room for Rozen to be unrealistic.

As a result, the final outcome was entirely in the hands of the three members of Team E601.

Of course, even though Rozen hadn't shown up, he was still paying attention to Team E601's situation and had learned that they had been training diligently, frequently visiting the training ground.

Even though there had been several conflicts between Misora and Rico due to Rico's laziness, thanks to Lecty's role as a peacemaker and the fact that Rozen was offering to be their instructor, the three eventually focused on training at the provided facility.

Upon hearing this, Rozen merely smiled and offered a single thought.

"If they just stick to regular training, it's going to be difficult to win the ranking matches."

Rozen kept this thought to himself.

Indeed, after being given the opportunity to grow stronger, the members of Team E601 should have experienced significant improvements in their abilities. However, having strength alone doesn't guarantee victory in the ranking matches; it would still be a close call.

But Rozen had no intention of guiding them further.

If they couldn't grasp this on their own, then any further advice would be pointless.

"Let's just see how the next ranking match goes."

That was all Rozen thought about.

During this time, rumors began to spread that Rozen might become the instructor for Team E601.

"Did you hear? Rorelai senpai is going to be the instructor for Team E601!"

"Is that news true?"

"It's true. It's been spreading all over the school, and someone even saw Rorelai senpai at the team building, heading straight to Team E601's room."

"Seriously?"

"Isn't Team E601 that F-rank team?"

"No way, why would the strongest hero become the instructor for the weakest team?"

"If Rorelai senpai really wanted to be an instructor, even an A-rank team would immediately line up to volunteer."

"That's surprising."

"Of course, I've heard that he hasn't agreed yet, but he is giving Team E601 a chance. As long as they can win the next two ranking matches, he'll become their instructor."

"Ah, I see."

"I was wondering why Rorelai senpai would be easily roped in by an E-rank team."

"Even though they're the weakest E-rank team, he's still willing to give them a chance. Truly worthy of being called the 'Hero of Humanity.'"

"No wonder Team E601 has been laying low recently; they must be secretly training."

"Hopefully, they won't let him down."

"No, with that weakest team's ability, there's no way they can meet his conditions."

"Exactly."

"I doubt it."

"Same here."

Such conversations and rumors had been circulating recently across the streets of Mistgun and within the school.

Upon learning the full context, many began to pay attention to Team E601, curious to see whether they could complete the challenge set by Rozen and soar to new heights.

However, those who were familiar with Team E601's situation were dismissive, thinking that the team was simply dreaming. Given their current abilities, they believed there was no way they could pass Rozen's test.

And this was understandable.

The team's record in ranking matches was ten consecutive losses, and the individual members' performances were dismal. The team leader, with a tragic past of 134 losses, couldn't even meet basic standards. The other members, who were either inconsistent in their performance or too peculiar to even take exams, had little hope of winning the next two ranking matches.

"I think senpai just didn't want to outright reject them, so he gave them this impossible challenge."

"He's probably pretty annoyed too."

"Why would the higher-ups assign such a terrible team to him?"

"Rorelai senpai is too soft-hearted. If it were me, I would have gone straight to the Sky Wizard Division Head to protest."

"Right."

People continued to gossip about the situation.

As a result, Team E601 had recently become the talk of the town.

People were eagerly watching to see what would happen to Team E601 in the end.

Upon hearing this, Rozen simply smiled and let the rumors spread, saying nothing.

Naturally, the members of Team E601 were also aware of the situation.

And so...

"Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!"

In the private training ground, Misora was furiously swinging her magic sword, creating gusts of wind as the sword sliced through the air, kicking up clouds of dust.

Upon closer inspection, there was a faint glow flickering around Misora's body.

Clearly, Misora had already begun to control her mana, enhancing her body with it.

Now, Misora was letting her emotions run wild, practicing her mana control techniques while moving her body with precision.

To be fair, her movements were much better than before, proving that Rozen's methods were effective.

However, her actions caused the other two members, who were also practicing new magic, to stop.

"Mi-Misora, please calm down..." Lecty hurriedly tried to soothe her.

"You're making too much noise. I can't focus. Stop being a nuisance, will you?" Rico bluntly reprimanded.

In response, Misora paused but still looked upset.

"Don't you guys feel frustrated?" Misora asked indignantly.

"Those people outside are badmouthing us, not giving us any credit, and saying we were just dumped on him. It's infuriating!"

Upon hearing this, Lecty and Rico both looked over.
