Allison's POV: 

I couldn't believe my ears as Enzo asked Jacob about killing me. The thought of dying sent shivers down my spine; there were so many things I wanted to achieve in life. I wanted to become the Editor in Chief. I wanted to have a house of my own. I wanted to marry someone and have kids with him. All these dreams flashed before my eyes as the mafia boss contemplated killing me. Unable to tear myself away from the window, I anxiously waited for Jacob's response. 

"Let's get in the car." Jacob finally responded, and I immediately sat up straight. He didn't answer Enzo's question, making me anxious. Would he really kill me? However, being killed seemed preferable to losing my virginity to him against my will. Distressingly, as the car door opened and Jacob climbed in, Enzo took the front passenger seat.
