Capítulo 21: Declare the Name Part I
Tan walked to Nicki's workshop. He was in a weary state. His friends walked towards him as soon as they saw him. Nicki was rushing to him and scolded him…
“What took you so long?! I let you go to take the level 15 quest, but you took forever as if you were looking for an Area Card!” The tiny girl shouted at him.
Tan, who was still in confusion, widened his eyes and turned to the girl. “What?!” Tan exclaimed as he was surprised by how Nicki appeared as if she knew what he was up to.
“Hurry, the registration is about to close. We have to go there together, or they won’t let you register!” The girl said as she dragged Tan who was in a horrible state to the colosseum. Blanche followed the two as he checked his deck after rearranging it.

The colosseum in this town looked familiar as if it were a replica of the colosseum in Rome with some additions for the safety matter. Tan had convinced the marks on the bricks were created by a computer program, as the game had run for six months; marks like this could not appear naturally on the buildings.
Nicki took Tan and Blanche inside. Hundreds of people walked around and about. There were four to five registration desks available. The trio immediately lined up at the desk where there was the fewest number of people.
“What did you do, exactly? We waited so long that we thought we should search for a new member,” Nicki complained. “It's hard to find a good player with a level under 30.”
Level under 30…?
30…?

“Wait…!” Tan exclaimed. His two friends immediately turned to him.
“Is there anything wrong?” Blanche asked with a caring tone of voice.
Nicki frowned and stared at the troublemaker. “What…?” She asked carelessly.
“Level…”
“What’s wrong with your level…? Don’t tell me that you die and now your level is lower than what’s required,” Nicki said with a stern voice.
“Not lower…but exceed. Now I’m at level…39,” Tan explained with a soft tone of voice.
“What?!” Nicki bellowed. “What did you do…?! Why did killing level 15-16 monsters give you that much EXP?!”
“It’s a long story. How much time have I left before the registration closed…?” Tan asked tiredly.
“It’s closed in the evening. You have about three hours,” answered Nicki.
“Is there a place with monsters of 50-60 levels? It would be nice if I could travel there and back within two hours,” he asked another question.
Nicki stared at him. “You caused trouble again, didn’t you…?” She sighed. “You ask about such a place because you want to lose your level and kill some fancy monsters, right? There’s one, and it doesn’t take an hour to travel there; five minutes is enough for you to go there and back here,” she informed.
Tan was surprised, but Blanche who stood beside him seemed to know about the place so well. He pointed at a tower located north of the city. “The tower there…has monsters with around level 50. They are incredibly tough to deal with,” he highlighted the last sentence.
“Hey! It’s your turn. Hurry up, move your butt…!” A big bald guy who was lining up behind the trio shouted. Nicki turned to him and stared at him fiercely. Her action made Blanche worry that they would cause a scene before the tournament started.
“Let’s go, Nicki, or we won’t be back in time.” He tried to come up with a reason for Nicki to let the bald guy off the hook, and it worked. Nicki followed Tan and Blanche out of the colosseum and headed to the tower located north of the city, near the cathedral.
“Chicken out…?! Don’t come here then…Go back home and play games on Facebook instead!” The bald guy shouted and laughed. Nicki almost lost control of herself by that, but Blanche distracted her and successfully stopped her from engaging in ‘a bullfighting.’
“I’ll leave you alone for now, you bald bear…If we meet again, I’ll make sure to punch you to the point where you can’t remember which zoo you came from,” she murmured.

It took them less than ten minutes to walk from the colosseum to the tower located north of the city. As they stood before the tower, Nicki was the first person to speak.
“You have to go inside alone. Blanche and I are already at level 30. If we accidentally kill a monster, we might level up,” she said. “Level 31 is very bad.”
“Why?” Tan asked.
“If you die, you will be at level 26. There is no time for leveling up. I have to log out for a while after we’re done with our registration, and I’ll come back before the tournament starts,” Nicki explained. Tan nodded knowingly and turned to the towel made of gray stones right in front.
“Goodbye, my dear level…” Tan joked.
After a huge metal gate opened up and closed, noises could be heard from inside as the player and monsters fought intensely.
“Level Breaker!”
The voice could be heard from outside. After a minute or so had passed, the door opened up again as Tan walked out. “What’s your level now and what’s the Level Breaker you shouted?” Nicki asked.
Tan opened the details of his skill for Nicki and Blanche. The two exclaimed in surprise when they finished reading that.
“There’s a skill like this too?” Blanche’s voice rang out.
“That’s awesome, Pervert!” Nicki followed.
“My level has actually fallen, but after I finished off monsters on the first floor, it rose back. Now my level has lowered by just two.” He was tired. “And Nicki…I’m telling you again that I’m not a pervert, I’m just a bit eccentric.” Still, he had the energy to joke around.
Nicki gently tapped his shoulder. “Go inside again and do your thing. Get back when you’re at level 30,” she giggled. Tan then entered the tower again. The voice shouting, “Level Breaker!” could be heard again four to five times…
The shouting was accompanied by the sound of the player fighting monsters that resided within the tower of Caldia—the tower was called the best place to commit suicide due to the high-level monsters that were too challenging for beginners to handle.
“Take that!”
“BAM!”
“KLAM!”
“Argh!”
“Uhm…!”
“Ooh…!”
“Oh…!”
“Aah…!”

“Are you sure that you went inside to fight monsters?” Nicki asked with wonder.
Tan walked out tiredly and heaved a long sigh. Today, he had a lot to deal with. After all, this guy had been playing the game for less than a day, but he had to face many challenges.
“I can’t go on any further. I’m out of energy,” he groaned. “I meant real energy, not HP,” he noted.
Blanche nodded. “Let’s go and get the registration done, then we’ll separate. I think I’m going to hang out here for a bit.” Everyone agreed with what he said.
The trio returned to the colosseum to register for the tournament that was held tomorrow morning. Nicki looked around inside the colosseum to find the bald guy, luckily, he was not there anymore…
