Upon entering the mansion, Alla noticed the parlour, reduced to a state of utter disarray. The maids within the residence were left trembling in silence, bearing witness. The instigator of this chaos was cloistered on the sofa, toying with a fruit knife.

Despite her palpable fear at the sight of the blade, Alla mustered the courage to approach him. "I...I have returned," she declared. Gordon slowly lifted his gaze, his deep-set eyes intently fixed on her. Not uttering a word, he maintained his intense stare, reminiscent of a predator observing its doomed prey.

The intensity of his gaze sent a chill down Alla's spine, her clenched fist perspiring profusely. She forced herself to calm down, raising her eyes to meet Gordon's. "Mr. Collins, let us converse," she suggested.
