Although the Fire Dog had an unhappy expression on its face, it obediently walked over.
Riley squatted down and gently patted the Fire Dog's head.
The Fire Dog closed its eyes comfortably, showing no sign of the unhappy expression it had just displayed.
It's so easy to be coaxed, Riley couldn't help but sigh.
"Fire Dog, you go up with Dovestruk," Riley said.
"Bark!"
The Fire Dog happily barked and turned its gaze, now filled with fighting spirit.
From now on, anyone who says that Fire-type Spirit Beasts have bad tempers, Riley will be the first to disagree!
"Use a Charge!" Riley gave a direct command.
He didn't care if the girl on the other side was ready or not. Do you have to announce in advance that you're going to start fighting during a fight?
This was his first time cooperating with the Fire Dog, so he didn't want to lose.
The Fire Dog exerted force in its four limbs and instantly charged forward.
Agatha's gaze had been fixed on the boy and his two Spirit Beasts. She resisted the urge to curse and quickly reacted, "Terravix, use your tail to bind it directly!"
The reason the Fire Dog's Charge had succeeded earlier was because Agatha's attention had been entirely on Dovestruk. Now that she noticed the Fire Dog, she naturally made preparations.
The Fire Dog was less than a month old, and its movement speed seemed incredibly slow compared to the Terravix.
It leisurely extended its tail, which was over two meters long, waiting for the Fire Dog to approach.
"Carry the Fire Dog and fly into the sky, Dovestruk," Riley immediately issued another command.
While Dovestruk was slower in flight compared to other Flying-type Spirit Beasts, it was considerably faster than the young Fire Dog. Even though the Fire Dog was in a state of charging, Dovestruk quickly caught up and grabbed it, taking flight.
Agatha was momentarily puzzled, not understanding Riley's intentions.
"Bark?" The Fire Dog was also confused.
It was the first time both Riley and the Fire Dog had cooperated, and even with Dovestruk, it was their first coorporation, so they hadn't fully grasped the situation.
"Dovestruk, just throw the Fire Dog onto it like this," Riley calmly instructed.
Dovestruk that still grabbing the Fire Dog was hesitated.
After all, it wasn't Riley's Spirit beast, so it didn't immediately toss the Fire Dog onto the Terravix.
Riley felt a bit frustrated and was about to issue the next command when, at that moment, Dovestruk executed his order.
This wasn't an ideal timing. Three seconds had already passed since Riley gave the command, and the other side had enough time to react accordingly.
The Fire Dog flew towards the Terravix, and Riley was startled. He wanted to tell the Fire Dog to dodge, but the other side remained still.
Agatha hadn't given any instructions to the Terravix.
Riley didn't understand, but that didn't stop him from giving orders.
"Just charge at its neck and use Fire Fang!"
The reason why Foxsol was not Riley's primary choice was its has low defense, even in its evolved form as the Terravix.
Unlike its powerful tail, the Terravix's body was incredibly fragile, and even a minor injury would cause it pain. And Its neck was a particularly vulnerable spot.
"Terravix, quick dodge it!" Only then Agatha realized it.
But it was too late.
The searing flames engulfed the sharp teeth as they bit down fiercely on the Terravix's neck.
"Terravix!"
The Terravix let out a painful and piercing cry. Its fur stood on end, and its body twisted violently, trying to shake off the Fire Dog.
The Fire Dog clung to it like glue.
"Jump away," Riley commanded.
The Fire Dog didn't hesitate and immediately leaped off the Terravix's body to the side.
In the next moment, the Terravix's tail, over two meters long, ruthlessly swept across its own body.
Without the Fire Dog on its back, the full force of that powerful tail struck the Terravix's body.
"Terravix!"
The Terravix is already injured on its neck, and this tail strike intensified its pain even further.
"Terravix, calm down!" Agatha was jumping anxiously on the side, not understanding how the situation had changed so quickly.
