Capítulo 6: Psychics They Often... Have Issues.

(Sabrina's Pov)

Alone, I was alone, but I was strong.

And strength was all that mattered.

Who needs friends when all they will do is slow you down. I had recently turned 15 and had just begun my pokemon journey. I dominated my enemies. In just a few months the people were already expecting me to become the next psychic type gym leader. After all, I had absolutely wiped the floor with the previous gym leader.

This only served to prove that I was right. Only strength mattered.

Not so long ago I had been contacted by a few professors hoping to get my insight on how I trained my psychic abilities. Apparently there was a new psychic that showed promise. But they must be weak too. They weren't able to figure out such a simple process.

I was ready to move on with my journey until I was contacted by Professor Oak. He wanted me to meet with the psychic, but it was a waste of my time. If Oak hadn't suggested that I would regret not meeting the pokemon he had raised I would have ignored it. He even dare to suggest he would become my rival in the future.

"How dare he suggest his Kadabra is stronger than mine." I couldn't help but mutter with a frown.

I spent all my life training. I pushed everyone away. If this child really discovered a way to strengthen psychic pokemon I would be nothing more than a disappointment. I needed to get stronger. I needed to confirm I was right.

Holding the doll that resembled my younger self I began to teleport in the direction of Professor Oak's farm.

Anger was all I felt as I heard the laughter of kids, the one who was supposed to be my rival was currently putting on a show for them. His eyes glowed with enthusiasm as he soaked in the laughter.

This was unacceptable.

Before I even knew it my body had reacted on its own.

(Lucas Pov)

Not gonna lie, this was kinda fun.

I had jokingly referred to myself as the lord of the flies when all the kids were following me around hoping to take another flight on the magic couch. And the kids, well, they ran with it. Kids truly were scary beings as they overcommitted to their new "Lord". I had even been gifted with a crown and cape they had made during one of the camp's events.

I was currently in the middle of entertaining some of the kids before meeting up with my musketeers when I felt my body get teleported away.

"You…." I heard a voice coming from behind me that was filled with anger.

Turning around, I noticed I was in one of the distant fields of the farm, and in front of me there was now a young woman with long dark green hair and a cold expression.

I felt her trying to invade my mind and control my body before I urgently resisted.

"Not only do you waste your time entertaining children, but you also seal away your powers. Are you scared?" She asked as the pressure on my head increased.

What in the absolute hell was going on?

I had to focus all my attention on preventing my head and body from being manipulated so that I couldn't even properly assess the situation.

"Stop holding back and fight me properly." She said as she held on tighter to the doll she was holding.

I couldn't bear the pressure any more, so I caved and let go of the restraints. The next moment a flood of voices began to flood my brain and next thing I knew it all went dark.

— — —

I could see a small girl wearing a white dress and a white hat playing in her house. She appeared to be around my age. Bending and shattering spoons without an issue. Experimenting with her powers trying to find the limit. Life was weird, but that was fine.

The kids her age were scared. She had hurt them once by accident, and since then they avoided her. But that was fine… they were weak. That's why they got hurt.

Things only got worse when she destroyed her house. She didn't mean to but-

As the girl looked at the rubble she turned around to look at me directly.

"Who are you?" She asked while looking at me cautiously.

I wasn't sure what had happened. One moment he was being harassed by some random lady and the next moment he was here.

"I am… Lucas. Nice to meet you, uhm… you are?" I asked as I reached my hand out to her.

The girl looked at me with confusion before reaching out and shaking my hand.

"Sabrina." She looked a bit hesitant before asking. "Are you not… afraid of me?"

I raised my eyebrows at the question.

"Should I be?"

The girl nodded her head before saying

"I think so, everyone else seems to be."

At this moment it all clicked, I had finally had enough time to process all of the information. I didn't have a clue as to why Sabrina had suddenly showed up out of nowhere but oh well, here we were.

"Well, I am kinda like you. So I don't think we have to be scared of each other." I said as I lifted some of the rubble from the house into the air.

After a moment of silence from both of us I added

"I don't really know how I got here, or how to get out, if I am being honest. Do you?"

The girl seemed to pause for a moment before nodding her head.

"Could you… play with me before you go?"

Wow, this was kind of sad. I couldn't help but imagine that something like this might have happened to me had I not been able to practice controlling my powers with the help of my trusted musketeers.

Lifting my hand I moved it slowly towards her head before tapping her forehead.

"Tag, you are it."

And the next moment I was dashing away like a madman.

What felt like hours passed before I suddenly awakened on top of a grass hill. The sun was still out in the sky and other than feeling slightly disoriented I knew I was in the real world.

Turning next to me I saw a sleeping Sabrina holding tightly onto her doll. She appeared to be resting peacefully as the cold expression vanished from her face.

I wasn't sure if I should get away from here and seek help from the professors or not. The time I had spent with Joy had drilled into my head to try to help people who were injured. So in my head I was between checking up on her to make sure she was fine or getting as far away as I could.

The choice however, was taken from me as Sabrina's eyes fluttered open and she sat up from the ground. The anger around her had completely vanished as she turned to look at me with confusion.

We both spent some seconds silently staring at each other before I spoke up.

"Teleporting during tag is not fair."

(Sabrina's Pov)

"Pfffft" I couldn't help but let out a stifled laugh.

Somehow he was able to enter my mind and knock me out. He seemed to have done it by accident as shown by his confused face when he saw that version of me. A version I had sought to suppress.

During the brief time we both shared a mind I was able to understand him. The constant visions, emotions, and whispers that flooded his mind whenever he relaxed. He was like me, yet for some reason he managed to be… friendly.

Just like he entered my subconscious I entered his.

I saw him grow surrounded by the pokemon he deemed his musketeers. I saw him leave his school as he struggled to get along with his classmates. I saw him become the "lord of the flies"

He didn't even notice I was there.

I couldn't understand it. But I felt like a burden had been lifted off of me. The anger had been replaced with a new goal in my mind.

"So… um… Friends?" He asked with a bit of a hesitant tone

I stood up from the ground before responding.

"Acquaintances."

~Author's note~

I just finished watching a video talking about Sabrina in the anime and she is an absolute menace to society, I'll leave it in the comments.

I had different plans before I refreshed my memory about her lol. But this just seemed appropriate. I am almost done writing the next chap but I think I will just start stockpiling chaps and posting once a day. Once I have enough I will do the power stone thing, that for every goal I post another.

Remember to drop your stones on the way out! I will see you all later.
