Just as Freya had demanded, Elric took her to see her father and brother's graves. He already told her that he didn't know where her mother and aunty were buried at the moment, as Kruger separated them.
Elric already expected her to break down, but what he was seeing was different. First of all, she refused to go too close to the graves, and secondly she wasn't crying, just staring. Perhaps in disbelief.
He stood a little far from her to give her privacy, but now he felt like going to check up on her. But then she turned to him.
"I can't say goodbye. It's hard." She confessed. She was carrying flowers that they bought on their way there, but she didn't know how to drop it on the graves. Saying goodbye meant accepting that she would not see them again, and she was not ready to face that reality. It was too harsh.
Elric walked up to her.
"It's okay. You shouldn't force yourself. We can always come back when you are ready."
