Capítulo 217: Throwing Hands
With a feral grin Akaza lunged and me with immense speed and ferocity as his hands began to glow blue with the activation of his blood demon art.
I used my forearm to clash with his, changing the direction of his rapid attacks from being aimed directly at me as shockwaves were sent around me and not causing significant damage with only momentary cuts forming before the rapidly closed up.
When me and my other half are separated from each other, we both are unable to be truly killed with us rapidly healing all damage we recieve unless it is energy that is specifically a counter to our very being.
Me being severely weak to Spiral Energy and minorly weak to light and life magic based attacks, with him being severely weakened to Anti-Spiral Energy and Minorly weak to Dark and Death Magic, but while while we have none of those weaknesses with the trade off that we can actually be killed, though with everything we have gotten so far we have immense regeneration so we would be hard to kill unless an instant death Magic or our body was completely obliterated would be the only way to kill us, but that's excluding the extra lives we do have in case that ever happened.
But I was very impressed by Akaza's Technique and skill in combat, I wasn't going all out but even with my enhanced combat perception he was still moving at normal speeds in my eyes while his movements would be a blur for weaker people to see, giving them no real proper time to react unless they hand the inner world sight that some Demon Slayers possess.
Seeing another spear like attack go straight for my face I tilted my head out of the way to dodge it before lifting my left leg and spinning it in an arch like motion, not aiming for his head but to wrap my ankle over and above his extended arm using the move Hoe Hook to break through his guard. (N) These attacks are at faster than the human eye speeds by th way.
Then I began to put force into my left leg to begin to lift myself into the air as I aimed my knee straight for Akaza's head, though he was able to put up his hand in time to block, his eyes widened as an immense force hit his hand to which, even with his immense strength that could easily shatter large buildings, he couldn't hold it back before most of the force of the knee strike hit his head causing it to turn a full 360 degrees as I jumped back and away from him.
"That makes two." I say while he spins his head back into its proper position with a wide grin.
"I can't even tell you how long it's been since I've fought against another martial artist who could genuinely get my blood boiling like this!" Saying that his punches began to get even faster as he was beginning to adapt to my own reaction speed.
However even if he began to adapt I activated Divine Reflection as I imprinted all of his skills and techniques into my mind while also beginning to put pace his own adaptability at the same time.
"Oh? So this is how you do this?" I said intrigued as I now had a through rundown on Akaza's very own Blood Demon Art before my hands began to glow in a blue light as I punched out towards him as his eyes widened as he new that it was his blood demon art being used against him.
"Surprised? Let's just say so long as I see your moves I can perfectly replicate them, even the moves you haven't used yet." I said leaping back as I lowered my stance before spreading my arms out as my arms were covered in a red energy with the ground forming a blood red compass in return.
Seeing this just made Akaza even more excited as he took up the same stance as me with his arms spread and gathering a blue energy as a blue compass appeared at his feet as the energy overwhelmed our figures making us both look more like monsters than we already were.
""Blood Demon Art! Annihilation Technique!/Instinct!"" We both shout out simultaneously as we lunge forward with immense speeds but there was a difference, while his palms were open and sending out his shockwaves in a much larger and wider range of attack, I was launching forward with my fists clenched, making the shockwaves smaller, but more compact and penetrating of attacks, meant to pierce the body where as his was meant to shatter the body when attacked by such a move.
*BOOM!* Our attacks both connected and created a massive shockwave, if we weren't currently inside this bounded field I had created prior to this fight the entire land we were standing upon would have been torn apart, leaving a massive crater in the center of the impact sight.
Both of our attacks held us both in place with a void of space between us, keeping us in place and neither taking any damage while we both pressed on.
However Akaza began to lose ground even as he dug his heels into the very ground he started to be dragged back, the feeling of his arms beginning to slowly shatter from the force alone began to overwhelm his own bodies regeneration before finally losing the strength he put in and having his body split in two as his blood splattered everywhere covering the ground and me as well.
I put down my arms and slowly turned towards him, "And that makes it three, do you desire to keep going like this Akaza?" Ask as him as while I enjoy this spar as he has the durability and regeneration to handle me going all out, I'd rather make him my subordinate than continue this pointless fight, even if he enjoys it very much.
Saying that he bursts out laughing as he recreates his arms before reattaching his legs to his body, "Hahahaha! This is so much fun! I haven't ever been able to enjoy a fight like this since…. I was human, but I was weak and pathetic human back then, I could never imagine having such a great fight like this with another who has mastered their own craft in martial arts as much as you do Yamada!" He said with a wide grin before he lifted his legs before doing a kick up to return himself to a standing position as he turned to look towards me properly.
"I can feel it deep in my blood and to the deepest depths of my bones that you could provide me with excitement that I haven't ever felt before, and I would love to keep going with our fight, but I know when I'm beat, you were not only able to copy one of my strongest techniques, but you even made it more potent and deadly to the point I couldn't even withstand the attack! With your training, if you train me that is, I could see my strength and power improving exponentially at this rate!" He said with clear wonder and excitement in his eyes.
"Then I shall ask you this, Akaza, Do you pledge your loyalty to me in exchange for the power you have always cherished and desired to have?" I asked him with my eyes glowing in an ominous red light.
Looking at me he smiled before he knelt down and bowed towards me, "I am in Awe of your power and skill Yamada-sama, if you wish it then I shall follow your command, wherever that may lead me." He said as he pledged his loyalty to me.
[Establishing Contract: Does the User wish to take, Upper Moon Three: Akaza, as their servant?] The system popped up before me, slightly surprising me.
'So I can form contracts without needing to activate the Contract system? Well that's convenient' I think to myself as I get a quick rundown that I don't need that system activated if someone is willingly pledging themselves to the user where as if the contract systems full form was activated I could Force contracts onto other people or things against their very wills so long as the user is stronger in some way than the target, but willing contracts don't require the Contract system to be active as that is part of the 'True' System which has a bit of every system within it with all the other systems having their own complete forms that they are perfect at, making the 'True' System the Jack of all Trade but Master of none in the realm of Systems.
I nod as I accept the Contract between me and Akaza as his eyes widened before clutching his head in pain, [Removing Contracts Lethal Sun & Light damage Weakness, Removing Memory Corruption] I heard being notified in my mind.
[Warning! Contracts will to live is Decreasing Dramatically! Contract won't be able to sustain himself in this current state!] the system blared out as I was beginning to see Akaza break down as he now remembered his real past and what happened to him leading up to leaving his old life behind and becoming a demon himself.
'Well, lose one problem just to gain another one.' I think to myself as I sit down and sigh.
Tonight is going to be a long night.
