The machineel tree also has this question, as it swept vines around on the ground until it touched the small bump on the rags.

The bump moved, and the bloodied rags were shredded into tiny strips. A small silhouette emerged, and its figure flickered.

It shuttled fast, using the vines as the terrain to get to the tree.

The Machineel tree only had a second to react before something shot at the center of its trunk, where its crystal nucleus was located.
