Capítulo 13: Puzzles and Nightmares

Athena's POV:

As we approached the end of the tunnel, we could see that there was another puzzle waiting for us. It was unlike anything we had seen before - a series of intricate patterns etched onto the wall, glowing with a faint blue light .

I could feel my heart racing with excitement and anticipation, eager to take on the challenge. Draco and Oliver looked just as intrigued as I did, their eyes scanning the patterns with a mixture of awe and determination.

"Looks like we've got our work cut out for us," I said, grinning.

Raven stepped forward, her eyes trained on the patterns. "I've seen something like this before," she said, her voice low and contemplative. "It's a kind of ancient script, used by a long-lost civilization to communicate in secret."

We all looked at her in surprise. "How do you know that?" Oliver asked.

Raven shrugged. "It's just something I picked up in my travels. But I'm not sure I can decipher this one alone. Athena, I think we're going to need your help."

I nodded, stepping up to the wall and examining the patterns more closely. They were intricate and complex, a series of interlocking shapes that seemed to twist and turn in impossible ways. But as I looked closer, I began to see a pattern emerging - a kind of logic that underpinned the design.

I closed my eyes, letting my mind focus on the shapes and the patterns. It was like trying to solve a puzzle with pieces that were constantly moving, shifting and changing in response to my thoughts. But I kept at it, pushing forward with a dogged determination.

Draco and Oliver were watching me intently, their eyes flickering back and forth between me and the patterns on the wall. Raven stood off to the side, her expression thoughtful as she watched us work.

After what felt like an eternity, a sudden insight struck me. "I've got it!" I exclaimed, my eyes flying open.

I traced my fingers over the patterns on the wall, following the logic of the design. As I did, the glowing blue lines began to shift and change, reforming into a new pattern. It was like watching a kaleidoscope in motion, a riot of colors and shapes coalescing into a new whole.

And then, all at once, the wall dissolved into mist, revealing a new passage beyond. We looked at each other in amazement, our hearts pounding with excitement and anticipation. The adventure was far from over, and we were more than ready for whatever lay ahead.

Me, Draco, Oliver, and Raven have been walking for hours in the dimly lit tunnel, our feet aching and our stomachs grumbling with hunger. Finally, we arrived at the end of the tunnel, and before us lay a new passage. As we approached it, we noticed a faint glimmer coming from deep within the darkness.

Draco was the first to break the silence. "We should take a rest," he suggested, looking around at our tired faces . Oliver looked skeptical. "Here?" he asked, eyeing the dark, damp walls of the tunnel warily.

I sighed, feeling the weight of exhaustion in my bones. "Where else can we go?" I asked. "We've been walking for hours, and we need to regain our strength if we want to solve this next puzzle."

Raven nodded in agreement. "She's right," she said. "We can't keep going on like this. We need to rest and gather our thoughts."

Reluctantly, Oliver gave in, and we settled down on the cold, hard ground. Draco leaned back against the tunnel wall, closing his eyes as he took a deep breath. I took out my water bottle and took a sip, feeling the cool liquid soothe my parched throat.

As we rested, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. I knew that we were getting closer to our destination, but also knew that the puzzles would only get harder from here on out. I glanced around at my companions, I wonder if they were feeling the same way.

After a few moments of silence, Oliver spoke up. "So, any ideas on how to solve this next puzzle?" he asked, breaking the stillness.

I shook my head. "Not yet," I said. "But I have a feeling it's going to be harder than anything we've faced so far."

Draco opened his eyes and looked at me. "You always have a feeling," he said, teasingly.

I rolled my eyes, but couldn't help but smile. "Well, I'm usually right," I said.

Oliver chuckled. "Yeah, and I thought we were never going to solve that one," he said. "But you did it."

Raven nodded. "And we'll do it again," she said, determination in her voice.

I felt a surge of gratitude towards my companions. They were tired, hungry, and scared, but they were still willing to face whatever lay ahead. I knew that we were in this together, and that we will succeed or fail as a team.

As we sat in the darkness, resting and gathering our strength, I couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. We were on a dangerous mission, facing unknown enemies and solving puzzles that could mean the difference between life and death. But with my companions by my side, I felt like anything was possible.

I woke up feeling disoriented, my mind still in a haze from the strange dream I just had. In the dream, there were voices, angry and panicked, speaking about a powerful man and a dangerous machine. It was as if I had been transported to another world, a world filled with conflict and danger.

"Are you being serious right now?!" a male voice screamed. I could feel the tension in the air, as if the person speaking was about to explode with rage. "I know what you did and I know what I'm doing and there is no way you can stop me," my voice screamed back. Wait, was that really me? In my dream, my voice sounded so different, so much more confident and commanding than I usually felt.

"Calm down, we can handle him. Take him to the dungeons," another male voice spoke, trying to diffuse the situation. "Take him to the secured one," a female voice said, her tone laced with concern. It was clear that they were all worried about this powerful man and what he was capable of.

"What if he escapes? He is powerful," another female voice asked, the fear in her voice palpable. It was as if they were all standing on the brink of a disaster, one that they knew was inevitable but couldn't prevent.

"I think for now, that's the only thing we can do. But there's a 100% chance he will escape and come after me, and there is nothing I can do now," I said, my own voice filled with resignation. It was as if I had accepted my fate, that there was no way out of this dangerous situation.

"Why did you even make him that machine in the first place?" an angry male voice asked, his voice filled with accusation. "Now the universe is in grave danger, and how are we even going to do anything if he has that machine?" he continued, his words punctuated by frustration and anger.

"Use it against him," I said, my voice suddenly filled with a sense of cunning and confidence. It was as if I had found a way out of this mess, a way to turn the tables on the powerful man and his dangerous machine. But what did it all mean? Was this just a dream, or was it a glimpse into a larger conflict, one that I was somehow a part of? I couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to this dream than just a jumble of images and voices.
