Capítulo 92: More Information About Yuen

Carl was actually planning on using his item and lending Nacht his [ Wind of Desolation ] ability back when he was in a tough spot, but the entire fight progressed so quickly that he simply didn't find a good opportunity to do so without disrupting Nacht.

Even though lending an ability was something Carl had never heard could be done before, and he was certain it would cause many questions to prop up, he would rather do that than lose a powerful villain who had great talent, not to mention that Nicht was still there, but Carl still had no idea how to get him to take over his body again.

'Do I even want to do that, I did feel sorry about Nicht in the past as he was not suited for a villain, and I do owe him for the system, but getting him to take over the body again would actually result in me losing a powerful villain.'

'I guess I'll think more about it when I do have the means to get him back.' Carl thought as he glanced at the screen in his office.

Days passed as Nacht continued his intensive training regimen and Carl delved deeper into gathering information about the Flux Shift Device. Nacht's newfound determination and growing mastery of his abilities were evident as he sparred with holographic opponents in his underground hideout. He had a single-minded focus: to be prepared for the inevitable clash with Yuen and the other heroes as he was certain they would have more clashes in the future until one of them was dead.

Carl, on the other hand, utilized all his resources to understand the Flux Shift Device better. He contacted experts within the VSA and consulted with artifact specialists to uncover any weaknesses or vulnerabilities in the device. The information he gathered was invaluable, painting a clearer picture of their enemy's capabilities.

Vincent, the spy within the HA, had also been diligently working behind the scenes. He managed to infiltrate higher-level HA meetings and discreetly gather information about Yuen's abilities and the origins of the Flux Shift Device. His role as a double agent proved crucial in piecing together the puzzle.

One evening, Vincent sent a coded message to Carl: "From what I have learned from the HA, Yuen's second ability should be her own, not something that is connected to the Flux Device or another artifact, the HA is keeping it a tightly-guarded secret, however, so I don't know more about it."

Carl relayed the information to Nacht, who was intrigued by the revelation. "A secondary power, huh? That could explain her resilience and the unexpected abilities she displayed, she really is lucky, to actually have two abilities, I'm a bit jealous of you two, to be honest."

"Yeah right, I would believe you if you don't already possess an ability as heaven-defying as yours is."

Carl agreed. "I'll keep pressing Vincent for more details. In the meantime, stay vigilant, Nacht. Our preparations are nearly complete, and we'll be ready to strike when the time is right."

As Nacht continued to train, he also dedicated time to strategizing for the upcoming confrontation. He meticulously planned every aspect of the battle, from the initial encounter to potential escape routes. He knew that he couldn't afford any mistakes the next time.

Blorg made regular visits to Nacht's hideout to check on the performance of the new glove and the Artifact Nullifier. He fine-tuned the devices, ensuring that they would function flawlessly in combat.

Nacht was actually impressed by how Blorg was able to come to his hideout without being noticed by him every single time. He had no idea if it was thanks to an item or Blorg's own skills, but he made a mental note not to get the man angry as he could definitely infiltrate his hideout and wreck it if that happened.

Even Carl was confused by how easily Blorg was able to do so, as well as how he was able to move between his hideout and Nacht's region so quickly as they were not near at all. He even suspected that Blorg had managed to create a teleportation device, but didn't tell anybody, not even him.

Meanwhile, within the Hero's Association headquarters, Yuen had been going through intense training herself. She knew that Nacht would return, and she couldn't afford to underestimate him. Her encounter with the enigmatic assassin had left her shaken, but it had also revealed new depths to her abilities.

As she sparred with her fellow heroes in the training room, she focused on mastering the Flux Shift Device. It had saved her life in her previous battle with Nacht, and she needed to ensure that she could wield its power effectively. Her control over the artifact had improved, and she could now switch her position with a wooden sculpture faster and with less strain on her body now..

However, Yuen was well aware that Nacht was not one to be taken lightly. She had heard rumors of his past exploits and knew that he was a formidable opponent. She couldn't afford to rely solely on the Flux Shift Device; she needed to tap into her hidden power.

Late one night, while practicing alone in the training room, Yuen decided to push herself to the limit. She focused on the fear and adrenaline that had coursed through her veins during her battle with Nacht. She remembered the desperate moments when she had used her newfound ability to survive.

That had been only the fourth time she had managed to activate her ability, one that she didn't have full control of at all.

As she closed her eyes and concentrated, a strange sensation washed over her. It felt like a surge of energy welling up from deep within her. She opened her eyes, and to her amazement, she saw her surroundings changing as the flux was coming out of her body.

It wasn't as violent or powerful as when she used it against Nacht, but it was still a start, she could now actually tap into the second ability and somewhat utilize it.

The ability was a simple one, it allowed her to use the flux inside of her body to create a powerful shockwave. The shockwave, for now, could only be released from her body, but she was certain that with more practice, she could fine-tune her ability and use controlled shockwaves to attack her enemies from both up close and afar.

Without even knowing about it, Nacht and Yuen had actually pushed each other to their limits, allowing both to surpass their previous strength and become even more powerful. Neither one knew what was happening with the other person, but both were certain that when they met the next time, the battle between them would be even more devastating than the last time.

As for Rex and Luna, the two villains that were contracted by Carl at the latest, both were doing their usual missions. They had heard of what had happened with Nacht, and they were surprised to hear the details of his battle as they knew full well how powerful he was.

For him to have been cornered in such a way just showed how powerful Yuen and her allies were, and how dangerous the entire battle was.

Luna, with her ability to mimic anyone's appearance and voice, as well as to manipulate them with her voice, giving them psychological cues that were hard to get rid of right away, was doing what she always did, spying on high-ranking officials in the region, while Rex, with his incredible mastery over stealth, sabotage, as well as stealing, was acting as a thief again, but one that worked with the VSA and was stealing important items or information from the HA or the officials that worked with the HA.

As Luna continued to infiltrate high-ranking HA meetings, she uncovered valuable information about their plans and operations. Her ability to mimic appearances and manipulate the thoughts of others made her an invaluable asset in gathering intelligence. She discreetly relayed her findings to Carl, who used the information to stay one step ahead of the HA, as well as to get rewards for himself and Luna from the VSA.

Meanwhile, Rex's skills in stealth and sabotage proved useful in disrupting the HA's activities. He successfully intercepted classified documents, sabotaged supply shipments, and caused chaos within the HA's ranks. His actions created confusion and mistrust among the heroes, weakening their overall effectiveness.

The overall grades of Luna, Rex, Blorg, as well as Nacht, didn't really change during that time, but their contributions did, as did the overall support from the VSA. The more they managed to do, the more importance the VSA placed on them, after all, there weren't many teams of villains like Carl's team.

They were each very different but worked quite well together, as well as alone.

Isabella was the final member, but she was a different story altogether as her job as a scientist for the VSA gave her plenty of benefits and influence.
