Capítulo 40: Take them off anyway

Lucas gazed out at the dark morning sky, a sigh escaping him silently.

"Would it be strange to tell her to go back to sleep now? Or would she just think I'm an indecisive boss and dislikes me even more?"

He contemplated further, "But she did mention her lack of sleep, didn't she? Perhaps she'd actually appreciate some extra rest?"

In a moment of frustration, he ran his fingers through his hair, trying to untangle not just his locks but also his thoughts. He was determined to find a way to improve the less-than-ideal image Milane held of him.

As he paced the confines of his hotel room, his agitation grew. Suddenly, he bumped into the desk, causing books and files to tumble chaotically to the floor.

"F**k!" he cursed aloud, startling himself. This was not the calm, rational Lucas everyone knew. He chuckled bitterly, imagining the shock on his university classmates' faces if they could see him now, so flustered and out of sorts.
