Capítulo 15: 15. Isle Town: Heaven Brothel

Blaze suddenly grabs Robin's robe and jumps into the hole. After staying in the air for a second, they hit the ground. The underground surroundings transformed into a cave, no longer an animal hole.

"Run!" Blaze growled under his breath with urgency and dashed forward, leaving behind Robin, who fell on his face. Robin stood up and chased after Blaze as if his life depended on it, after all, he didn't know what was coming from behind. As Blaze and Robin ran through the cave, Blaze noticed the uneven terrain with its irregular slopes and elevations, making it difficult to maintain a steady pace.

Thirty minutes later, they came out of the mouth of a rocky cave. Blaze noticed they were in the middle of the forest.

"What was chasing us?" Robin asked as he panted heavily.

"Nothing. I just wanted to reach on time," Blaze said casually.

"What was that sound previously?" Robin asked in disbelief as he continued panting.

"Wind."

Blaze's reply made Robin abruptly halt his heavy breathing.

"You made me run a marathon just because of—"

"What next?" Blaze cut Robin with a cold tone.

"There's a town two kilometers from here – Isle town," Robin replied quickly, remembering that Blaze even thrashed a Princess.

"Let's go. Wear the cloak now," Blaze ordered, and wore the black cloak that covered his head. After which, he used dirt from the ground to smear on his face.

Robin looked at Blaze with a doubtful expression and began to ask, "Why are you—" but before he could finish, Blaze forcefully pushed him to the ground, grinding his face into the dirt in a violent manner.

Blaze had come to the realization that dealing with Robin was difficult, as speaking with a person who talks a lot can lead to an endless discussion or argument. Therefore, he had found that taking quick and decisive action was the best way to handle the situation.

Robin got up from the ground and started coughing as he tried to clear the dirt that had entered his mouth. He then started to ask Blaze, "Why did you—"

"Let's go before a deadly beast arrives." Blaze moved swiftly after speaking.

Robin caught up to Blaze and attempted to speak, saying, "If I have ever offended you, please have mercy and—" but a sharp, threatening look from Blaze caused him to immediately stop talking and remain silent.

After weaving silently through the trees for three minutes, Blaze and Robin caught sight of an ancient town that was surrounded by tall fences.

A gigantic black gate that towered 30 feet (9.14 meters) above and the sky-high fence made Blaze estimate the number of beast invasions the town must have encountered. Soldiers were patrolling on the fence with fire touch.

"Why are they not using those light crystals?" Blaze asked with a raised eyebrow.

"You think night crystals are candles? They are expensive. Besides, this is a local town. The lord of this town, Baron Isle—"

"Okay, let's go in," Blaze quickly interrupted Robin, who was about to go on a tangent and tell a long story.

They walked over to the small wicket gate set into the side of the towering fence, where a soldier appeared to question them through the wire mesh eye slit. "What are you doing outside at night?"

"We got lost in the forest after being chased by a wild beast," Blaze replied, shuddering as he spoke.

The guard noticed Blaze's physical and emotional reaction and asked, "Where is your amulet for verification?" He lowered his voice, suspecting that Blaze's psychological state may have been affected by the recent encounter with the wild beast.

"It… it got lost… lost in the forest," Blaze stuttered and increased the intensity of his shivering as he spoke with fear in his eyes.

After a moment of silence, the guard opened the gate and let them in after searching them thoroughly, before letting them go.

The way Blaze lied so smoothly without revealing any signs of abnormality continued to amaze Aphrodite. His realistic acting impressed her even more.

Meanwhile, Robin kept opening and shutting his mouth without uttering any word. Robin had initially thought that Blaze's only ability was his excellent fighting skills, but she was now realizing that Blaze was actually a better liar than a fighter.

Blaze's voice abruptly interrupted Robin's thoughts, "Give me your money pouch." Startled, Robin handed over his money pouch to Blaze, who gave a nod of acknowledgment.

Without any explanation or warning, Blaze reached into Robin's money pouch and pulled out a silver coin, startling Robin. He then walked over to a beggar on the side of the road, waving the coin in front of his face. "Where is the closest brothel here?" Blaze asked the beggar.

"Go straight. The last building is a brothel."

After the beggar provided the information, Blaze nodded in acknowledgment before giving him the silver coin and walking away. Robin followed closely behind Blaze as they made their way towards the location of the brothel.

"Please I… I don't want to lose my virginity to a prostitute. I'm saving it for my wife. We should just get an inn," Robin stuttered, and the upper region of his legs tightened while walking weirdly.

"You can either sleep by the road or follow me. If you return to the school, the guards may become suspicious of your identity and imprison you. They will conduct a thorough investigation to uncover your true identity and inform the school. You should be aware that leaving the school is a serious offense that can result in expulsion," Blaze warned with a cold tone and narrowed eyes.

Robin gulped nervously, realizing that going back was not an option now that Blaze had his money pouch. Left with no other choice, he followed Blaze down the dark, quiet street. After overcoming his initial fear, Robin began to hum a strange song, but Blaze chose to ignore him and continued walking ahead.

As they reached the end of the street, Blaze and Robin saw a two-story building built of wood. The door had the words 'Heaven Brothel' written on it.

Blaze walked up to the wooden door and opened it, then proceeded to approach the manager, who was sitting on a chair with a desk in front of her. As Blaze and Robin entered the brothel, they were greeted by the sight of red candles on a triple-headed gold stand, emitting a sweet and flowery scent. The walls of the brothel were covered with red cloth adorned with erotic designs.

"Two rooms. No girls." Blaze said expressionlessly.

"The inn is the other way," the female manager with heavy makeup said with a seductive smile.

"I didn't lose my way. I'm willing to pay double the regular amount for tonight and tomorrow," Blaze declared to the manager.

"Twenty silver coins."

Blaze gave her. Robin finally relaxed, relieved that his virginity was safe, but he couldn't help feeling his heart bleed at the sight of Blaze spending so much money. However, he consoled himself with the thought of their upcoming raid.

The female manager led the way while they followed her upstairs. Walking through the narrow lobby with rooms on both sides, Robin couldn't stop himself from looking around. It was his first time in a brothel.

The sight of the red cloth-covered walls, the sounds of female laughter and loud moans, the candle-lit rooms, and glimpses of naked girls that he saw through the partially opened doors gave Robin a new and unfamiliar experience.

"Here are your rooms." The manager smiled and left.

"Tomorrow, we will make preparations. Go and sleep," Blaze said and walked into his room without waiting for a reply. He climbed onto his bed and slept off with his robe. What's underneath his robe is a bomb to him.

As Blaze slept, he was awakened by the sound of light, barely audible footsteps that were enough to rouse him due to his heightened sensitivity to sound. The creaking of the door made him alert, but he remained still.

'Sleeping in a public place is a lot of hassle.'

Blaze just hoped Robin wasn't dead.
