The Demon Empress was panting. Blood was dripping from her wounds and falling to the ground. 

Isabella was severely injured. She was barely able to keep standing. 

Isabella looked at Alden who hadn't moved an inch after launching that attack. He had a look of exhaustion and tiredness on his face. 

Seeing that he wasn't moving at all, Isabella used this opportunity to get out of there before other guards surrounded her. If she was surrounded right now, then she wouldn't be able to fight all of the guards and retreat. She won't be able to escape death. So retreating now would be the brightest thing to do. 

Seeing the target leaving, Alden tried to move his body. He gritted his teeth in anger. However, no matter how much he tried, he could not move his body at all. It was as if his whole body was frozen.
