"Are you being obedient now? Who do you think you are? You think you're some great sorcerer? Don't even think about it, you second-rate amateur..." Loki climbed to his feet, extending both hands. Two daggers instantly appeared in his hands, and he charged towards Doctor Strange.
"Alright then, farewell." Doctor Strange waved his hand, and a golden light flashed. Loki and Thor suddenly found themselves on a grassy field, but Loki lunged forward and landed flat on the ground with a "thud."
Looking around, they spotted a figure standing by the sea. Even though the person had their back turned to them, just from the silhouette, both Thor and Loki recognized him. It was Odin, the All-Father.
Thor and Loki approached Odin, one in the front and one in the back.
Odin gazed at the sea, seemingly pondering some deep and profound question that was utterly useless.
"Father?" Thor called out softly.
"Look at this place, it's so beautiful." Odin said.
"Father, it's us," Thor said.
"My sons." Odin continued looking at the sea. "I've been waiting for you."
"I know," Thor said, "We've come to take you back home."
"Home, yes," Odin said. "Your mother is summoning me." Odin turned to Thor and Loki, "Did you hear that?"
"Loki, dispel your magic," Thor said to Loki.
"It's not that easy to break free from your magic," Odin turned his head to look at Loki. "Frigga would be proud of you." Then, Odin turned and walked towards the grassland behind him. "Join me for a moment; my time is short."
Odin sat in the center, with Thor and Loki on either side, the three of them sitting on large stones.
"I know we've disappointed you, but we'll make things right," Thor said to Odin.
"It's I who disappointed you," Odin corrected Thor, "The Twilight of the Gods has already come."
"The Twilight of the Gods!" Upon hearing this term, the Thor in the answer space blinked. In the previous video, when he met Hulk in the alien arena, he speculated that Asgard was on the brink of peril due to the Twilight of the Gods. He didn't expect to hear the term now in person.
"Thor, does the legendary Twilight of the Gods really exist?" Tony Stark asked.
"It does," Thor said, "It's said that the Fire Giant Surtur will one day destroy Asgard..."
"It sounds like as long as we kill this giant, the Twilight of the Gods won't come," Tony Stark said.
"It's not that simple," Thor said, "My father had already killed Surtur five hundred thousand years ago, but the Twilight of the Gods was not completely averted. Surtur might still have a chance of resurrection in the future."
"Five hundred thousand years ago!" This number startled everyone in the answer space. They knew that the gods from Asgard had long lifespans, but this was too long! Five hundred thousand years ago, at that time, humanity hadn't even fully evolved!
"I stopped the Twilight of the Gods; I ended Surtur," Thor said in the video.
This brought a sense of relief to the Thor in the answer space. Had his future self already prevented the Twilight of the Gods?
But before he could smile, Odin continued, "No, everything has already begun. She is coming."
"She?" Thor was stunned. Why did his father use this term? Was he referring to Surtur?
"I did my best to stop her, but I am powerless against her now," Odin sighed lightly, "She is the Goddess of Death, Hela, my first child."
"What did you say?" Thor couldn't believe Odin's words. How could he suddenly have an additional sister?
"Her ambition has grown beyond my control. I couldn't stop her, so I imprisoned her," Odin tilted his head slightly, as if reminiscing. "Her power comes from Asgard; once she arrives there, her power will be boundless."
"No matter who she is, we can stop her together. We can face her together," Thor said.
"We can't," Odin said, "I have taken a different path now, and you two have to face it alone. I love you, my sons." Odin pointed towards the sea. "Remember this place, it's home."
After saying these words, Odin turned into golden light and disappeared on the spot.
"No!" The Thor in the video seemed calm, but the Thor in the answer space was far from steady, immediately screaming.
Father had actually left!
His father's death, which had been just speculation before, now became an almost certain fact!
Although he was known for his exploits in the Nine Realms, charging into battles for Asgard, his life had been smooth-sailing thanks to Odin's protection. He had hardly encountered any setbacks.
The only significant blow had been his banishment to Midgard, losing the right to wield Mjölnir. However, thanks to the answer space, the impact of this blow was greatly reduced.
One could say that Odin was like a towering tree shielding Thor, providing him with a carefree and easy life.
However, now this great tree is about to fall.
"Odin's time is near its end, and that's definitely not a good sign," Tony Stark's expression turned serious. "Before, we didn't know that there were so many threats in the universe, so we could sleep peacefully every day. But now we know that there are other powerful beings in this universe, like Thanos. In the past, other threats in the universe didn't dare to set their eyes on Earth because of Odin's protection. But if Odin is no longer here, Earth might not be peaceful anymore."
"Yeah, who knows if there are more guys like Thanos..." James Rhodes sighed.
"Don't be too pessimistic," Bruce Banner spoke up. "Earth is not as simple as we imagine. Although we're all playing with magic, haven't you noticed the significant difference between Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch?"
"Doctor Strange mentioned that he has been monitoring people and events from other worlds. When Loki arrived on Earth, he captured him and made him fall for 30 minutes. It seems that Doctor Strange can also take on those powerful beings in the universe." Sam Wilson said.
"Scarlet Witch was enhanced by Strucker using the Mind Stone. Her magic seems more like some kind of special ability," Steve Rogers said. "But Doctor Strange's magic requires incantations, and he has a lot of books on magic. It doesn't seem like something simple that can be achieved through enhancement. It looks like he has a more systematic approach to magic."
"That's right!" Bruce Banner said. "Who wrote those magic books? Who invented those magic incantations? Besides Doctor Strange, there must be other sorcerers on Earth! Oh, according to Doctor Strange, we should call them 'Mystic Sorcerers.'"
"So, there has been an unknown group of sorcerers on Earth all this time?" T'Challa said.
"Those magic incantations and books show that magic has already developed some system. It can't be achieved by just one or two sorcerers. So, I'm pretty sure there's a group of sorcerers on Earth." Bruce Banner said. "And they've been around for quite some time."
"That means this group of sorcerers exists now?" Steve Rogers frowned. "But that's not right. When Loki invaded New York, we didn't see any sorcerers. Only the Avengers were in the fight."
"Why those sorcerers didn't appear during Loki's invasion, I can't figure that out either. But they have been here on Earth, that much is certain." Bruce Banner said.
"I think Dr. Banner's reasoning makes sense." Tony Stark said. "Doctor Strange went from an ordinary person to a master who easily dealt with Loki. That's not something achieved overnight. It takes time and a profound foundation. So, no matter who cultivated Doctor Strange, it must be an extremely powerful sorcerous force."
The video continued playing.
As they watched Odin vanish, Thor was in turmoil. Dark clouds gathered in the sky, and lightning surrounded his palms.
"Brother," Loki called out warily.
"This is your doing!" Thor glared at Loki.
Loki returned his gaze at Thor. There was tension between the two brothers.
Just when it seemed like they were about to come to blows, a sudden change occurred. A green energy appeared in the air and slowly expanded, forming a green spatial portal.
Thor and Loki both sensed danger and temporarily put aside their differences, walking towards the spatial portal.
During this process, a flash of lightning transformed Thor's appearance. His clothes changed from jeans to the "Thor-exclusive outfit," and the umbrella turned into a hammer.
As for Loki, he wore a green sorcerer's robe.
A woman with hair several times more voluptuous than Beyoncé's stepped out of the green spatial portal.
"So, he's dead then?" She glanced casually at Thor and Loki. "Such a pity. I was looking forward to witnessing his demise."
"You must be Hela," the foolish Thor, even though he was a bit foolish, recognized Hela's identity. "I am Thor, the son of Odin."
"Really?" Hela glanced at Thor, then said, "You don't look anything like him."
"Perhaps we can talk this through," Loki, standing beside Thor, suggested.
"You do look a lot like him," Hela's gaze fell on Loki.
"Kneel," then Hela casually dropped the word.
"What did you say?" Loki suspected he misheard. Why would she ask them to kneel from the get-go? Was she insane?
"Kneel," Hela extended her left hand, and a strangely shaped longsword appeared out of thin air. She repeated, "Before your queen."
"I don't quite agree." Thor directly swung his hammer at her.
A shocking scene unfolded. Hela extended her hand and effortlessly grabbed Mjölnir!
"What?" In the answer space, Thor's face changed. "She... She directly grabbed Mjölnir!"
"This Hela is too powerful," Tony Stark was also shocked. "Thor, she's much stronger than you."
"The option of crushing it barehanded is in the question. The correct answer to this question can't be crushing it barehanded, can it?" Steve Rogers also widened his eyes.
"It must be crushing it barehanded..." Tony Stark muttered.
Both the people in the answer space and those in the video were stunned by Hela effortlessly catching Mjölnir.
"Why did you mess up your hair like this before starting a fight? I really don't understand."
Hela, with her gothic appearance, held a long sword in each hand, slowly approaching Loki and Thor step by step.
Loki was obviously frightened by Hela's presence and immediately looked up, shouting, "Take us back!"
"No!" Thor charged towards Hela without hesitation.
This single detail illustrated the stark contrast between Loki and Thor – one choosing to flee when faced with a strong opponent, while the other bravely charging forward.
Boom! At the next moment, a colorful energy column descended from the sky.
The Rainbow Bridge appeared.
It swallowed both Loki and Thor, who was halfway through his charge.
But in the Rainbow Bridge, not only Loki and Thor were present, but Hela as well. At the moment the Rainbow Bridge descended, Hela also entered it.
Hela followed closely behind Thor and Loki, flying at high speed within the Rainbow Bridge.
"Loki!" Thor looked down at Hela and shouted loudly.
Looking up from below, Loki saw Hela's fierce, gothic appearance with her wild hair.
He didn't hesitate and threw a dagger down at her.
However, there was no way that the dagger could hit Hela. She easily dodged it and promptly shot a longsword back at Loki.
"Ahh!!!" A long and miserable scream, and Loki disappeared within the Rainbow Bridge.
Loki was down, and Thor had to face Hela himself. Without Mjolnir, he fought her barehanded.
Unsurprisingly, he was no match for her and was also thrown out of the Rainbow Bridge in just a few moves.
Hela had taken care of both Loki and Thor one after the other. She raised her head and continued ascending within the Rainbow Bridge.
The space darkened, and the video ended.
"Thor, no offense, but why are you so weak?" Tony Stark couldn't help commenting, "Both of you are Odin's children, but the difference between Hela and you is like night and day."
"That's right, Thor," Steve Rogers added, "You're all Odin's descendants. If Hela can reach such heights, so should you, especially with the power of Mjolnir. But the gap between you and Hela seems as significant as the one between me and the Hulk."
"Don't even mention Mjolnir," Thor said with great frustration, "It's useless in front of Hela."
"Thor, did you never know about your powerful sister?" James Rhodes asked.
"Yes, my father never mentioned her," Thor replied, "If I hadn't seen the video, I wouldn't have known about Hela's existence."
"We analyzed the previous videos, and it seems this one happens after the battle of New York," Bruce Banner said, "Thor, if you want to resolve this, there's still time."
"It might not be that easy," Steve Rogers shook his head, not holding much hope for this naive idea, "Hela's purpose in coming is clear – to kill Odin. She didn't show any mercy towards you or Loki. She has no emotions left for the Odin family, only revenge and slaughter. It's impossible to resolve this peacefully. Thor, you better not hold onto such unrealistic fantasies."
"Steve's right, Thor," Sam Wilson agreed, "Even with your father's final words, isn't it evident enough? He said to face it, but didn't mention anything about reconciliation."
"Regardless, I have to try," Thor said after a moment of silence.
"In the previous video, you mentioned that Asgard was 'in great danger.' It seems like you were referring to Hela, not Surtur," Bruce Banner pointed out.
"That's right, Loki and I were thrown out of the Rainbow Bridge and ended up in a place called Saka," Thor said, his mood becoming heavier. Asgard was facing troubles from both Surtur and Hela. It felt like Asgard had become as troubled as Earth, facing one disaster after another.
He knew how to prevent Surtur's prophecy from coming true – just keep the Crown and the Eternal Flame apart. But when it came to Hela, he had no idea how to resist her. She was just too powerful.
So powerful that it felt hopeless.
Despite his admiration for his father, he couldn't help but doubt whether Odin could even match Hela at this point.
[The third question begins. Please be prepared.]
[Please watch the following video first.]
"Oh, so now we watch the video before answering the questions?" Everyone became interested. Previously, the quiz format involved answering questions first, and then the video played. Now it had changed.
The lights came on, and the video began.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
At the beginning of the video, a red-haired woman knocked on the door of a luxurious mansion.
After knocking twice, the glass door opened, and Tony Stark, in his Iron Man armor, walked out. "Stand there, don't move!" Tony commanded, looking at the red-haired woman.
The woman smiled and replied, "You don't remember, do you? I'm not surprised."
"I don't remember anything these days, not even what I had for breakfast," Tony remarked.
"Countless waffles, sir," J.A.R.V.I.S. answered.
"I want to talk to you alone, preferably not here. It's urgent," the red-haired woman said.
"Technically, I shouldn't refuse, but I have a girlfriend now," Tony said as he walked back into the mansion.
Bang! Bang!
At that moment, two packages fell from the sky and landed at Tony's feet.
"Tony? Do we have guests?" Pepper's voice came from upstairs.
"Tony, it looks like you and Pepper are together now, congratulations!" Rhodey said.
"Yes, it's definitely something to celebrate," Tony responded with a smile. "I'll confess to her, no more hesitating."
Rhodey then warned Tony not to act as recklessly as he used to, pointing out that he used to be quite a playboy. Tony quickly clarified that the red-haired woman, Maya Hansen, was not his girlfriend, just someone he had a fling with.
