Capítulo 485: Chapter 484 "The Christmas Ball"

In the crowd, Professor McGonagall ignored the girls and continued, "Remember to put on your best dress. The Ball will be in the Great Hall on Christmas Day at eight o'clock and ends at midnight."

She looked at all the students and pushed her glasses when she saw some of them, like Harry, Fred, George, and Ron, well-known pranksters in the school.

"It's a good opportunity to know each other, so I hope no one will cause me any trouble."

"The Yule Ball is, of course, a chance for us all to – er – let our hair down." Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil smirked when Professor McGonagall said this.

"But that doesn't mean," Professor McGonagall went on, "that we're going to relax that much. I would be very saddened if a school student were acting in a shameful way."

She said it seriously, so seriously that the Weasley twins shook their heads. If there were any potential trouble at the Yule Ball, Professor McGonagall would put her eyes on them.

After finishing her things, Professor McGonagall waved to Sean and Daisy beside her, "Both of you, come here."

She called out to Stephanie again, as well as Cedric and the Weasley twins.

"Is everyone here?" Professor McGonagall took a look and continued, "All of you must have their own companions."

The Weasley twins gave a high-five, and Cedric raised his head slightly. Obviously, the three of them had already chosen their partner.

Sean has maintained a calm expression, but he has already started to shout badly in his heart. Daisy looked at Sean after Professor McGonagall finished speaking. Stephanie was expressionless and raised her hand.

"Miss Ollivander?"

"Professor, do we really have to?"

Professor McGonagall nodded, "Of course, you must. I'll tell you this: traditionally, the delegates and their partners start the dance."

Daisy immediately asked, "Professor, can a delegate dance with another delegate?"

"Normally, each person has to find one. But considering that the number of contestants has increased greatly, it would take too long to dance together, so we encourage delegates to form dance partners." Professor McGonagall said.

Fred whistled and looked at Sean maliciously. Sean sneaked over and stomped on him hard. They groaned in pain and were stared at by Professor McGonagall.

"Mr. Weasley, both of you, I am proud that you have been chosen as delegates, but..."

The following words were not finished, but Fred could only put on the appearance of a good student.

"Well, I hope you're acting good for the Yule Ball."

"You go to dinner. I have something to ask Professor McGonagall." Sean said, following Professor McGonagall, who had left.

"What's the matter, Sean?" Professor McGonagall never called him in private.

Sean scratched his head embarrassingly, "Professor, do I have to have a dance partner?"

Professor McGonagall looked at him strangely, "I made it very clear. Is it difficult for you to find a dance partner?"

"It's not difficult..."

"Huh?" Professor McGonagall suddenly narrowed her eyes.

"Well, can I find a male dance partner or something?" Sean tried to look sincere.

Professor McGonagall's eyes became strange, "Do you like boys?"

"No…"

"Well, I guess there is no problem," Professor McGonagall waved her hand, "When the Ball starts, you will be the first to appear on behalf of Hogwarts."

Professor McGonagall has walked away, leaving only Sean.

"This is a big problem..."

Whom to look for as a dance partner is a very serious issue.

Daisy? Well, Hermione doesn't say anything, but she must be very sad later. She was a little sad because she was getting closer to Stephanie. Although she never said it, Sean can see it.

Hermione? Daisy would definitely mock them and smile sinisterly. Just thinking about Sean made his head in pain.

Moreover, the delegates must have a dance partner; if Sean finds someone else, Daisy must also find another boy to be a dance partner. Sean thought about the scene and felt a little uncomfortable.

As for Stephanie. Sean is also a bit confused about what she thinks. However, now that things have come to an end, no matter how dull and stupid Sean is, it's useless.

Sean felt that this might be the greediest thought he had ever had. However, a real problem lay in front of him. There were two more years before his Pride awakened.

Sean sighed, and he spread his hands.

----

"Sean, you shouldn't be sitting here." Neville said.

On the courtyard railing, Sean, Harry, Ron, and Neville were sitting slumped in distress.

"No, man, I'm in the same situation as you."

Ron said dissatisfiedly, "Stop joking! We are different than you..."

Just as he was talking, a few senior girls passed by. They looked at Sean and smiled, and some even cast a look on him. When they walked over, Ron bumped Sean hard and said to Harry and Neville.

"Sean is like a magnet. If he wants, he can line up and dance with all the single girls in the castle. But we are not."

Neville nodded in agreement, but from Sean's point of view, Neville's search for a dance partner was simple. He was born into an Auror family, has excellent grades, is kind and reliable, and is a Gryffindor prefect. There would be plenty of girls willing to go with Neville.

The same is true for Harry, who is quite popular in Gryffindor, just like his father was when he was at school.

Only Ron was a little miserable, overshadowed by two of his friends, and his brothers left an insurmountable gap. Percy, Charlie, and Bill were the best students. Fred and George's grades were not good, but they had unique personalities. Everyone likes them. Now, they have been selected as delegates, and their popularity is booming.

The youngest boy of the Weasley family is like a ghost. Harry was alone in a daze, with a lollipop in his mouth, wondering what he was thinking.

"Hey, say something." Ron bumped him.

Harry shook his head and said suddenly, "I mean, I want to invite Ginny..."

Ron was taken aback for a moment, rushed forward, and choked Harry's neck, "You fell in love with your best buddy's own sister?"

"I haven't said I like her. It was just an invitation..." Harry struggled.

"What difference does that make!?"

Sean watched the two of them fighting and said, "Wouldn't it be better for them to kiss each other later?"

Harry was strangled around the neck and glared at him, "Don't say that!"

Neville sighed from the side, "It's better not to dance."

Sean nodded in agreement.

Neville glanced at him, "I don't need to find a dance partner, but you have to find one. Speaking of which, no one from Hermione and the others will invite you?"

Sean smiled embarrassingly, "No..."

It was true that Hermione and the others did not invite Sean. They seemed to have reached a tacit understanding. But the Yule Ball is getting closer.

----

"Mr. Wallup, come and demonstrate with me." Professor McGonagall changed the class into a group ballroom dancing class and caught sight of Sean hiding.

"All right…"

"Have you danced before? Your movement is good." Professor McGonagall looked at Sean in front of her with some surprise. She comfortably put her arms around his waist.

"Very good, come now, let's demonstrate to everyone."

Sean promised and danced with Professor McGonagall, although he was reluctant to stand out at this time since he had been picked out. When he was a child, his father hired a teacher to teach him to dance. For the Wallup family, attending various Balls is inevitable, and Sean certainly dances well.

After the demonstration, Professor McGonagall nodded with satisfaction to Sean and said to everyone, "Okay, everyone, find a partner to practice. Mr. Wallup, you can help other students who don't know how."

"Okay?" Sean was dumbfounded.

Immediately, many girls cast their gazes over. However, before the other girls could speak, Daisy ran over.

"Quick, Sean. Teach me!" She said with a smile.

Sean was taken aback for a moment but stretched out his hand gracefully. Daisy's hand rested lightly on his palm, and she put the other hand on Sean's shoulder.

"Okay, Mr. Wallup, what's next?" She blinked her eyes.

"Oh, oh, this way..." Sean reacted to his absence. When he put his hand on the girl's waist, he could obviously feel the girl's body tighten.

"Don't be nervous..." Sean tried to play the role of a good teacher.

Daisy smiled slyly and moved her body closer to the ground.

"How about it?"

With Daisy in his arms, he gently brought up the girl's rhythm and danced lightly. Although it was the first time the two had danced, Daisy was still a novice, but there was an unexpected harmony between them. The two of them swayed lightly on the field with graceful steps. The people around cast their eyes on them and even made a small space for them.

While spinning leisurely, Daisy quietly moved her head closer and said in a low voice, "Sean..."

"Yeah?"

"I really want to dance with you forever..."

Sean's eyes widened before he could speak. The two hopped and hopped to the edge, and there happened to be someone standing there alone.

It's Hermione.

Seeing Sean's gaze, Hermione smiled, but it seemed a bit forced. Daisy turned around beautifully, took Sean's hand, and stopped in front of Hermione.

"Okay, it's time for you to teach Hermione," Daisy said proudly with her.

Hermione's eyes widened slightly, and she raised her hand, "No, I'm not going to the dance..."

Before she could finish speaking, Daisy pushed Sean towards Hermione, and the two of them just stuck together. The atmosphere became inexplicably awkward.

Daisy looked around as if nothing had happened.

"My brother was so good when he caught the Snitch, but he couldn't even dance well. I'll go and save him." After finishing speaking, he walked towards Harry.

Sean watched Daisy go away. Hermione's dissatisfied voice could be heard: "How long are you going to hold me down?"

"Ah, I'm sorry." Sean let go quickly. He didn't know why today, but he always felt that his reaction was a lot slower.

Hermione glared at him, dissatisfied with a flushed face, and said in a nonchalant tone, "I don't need to learn; I won't dance anyway."

Sean raised his eyebrows and bowed, "May I invite you to dance, Miss Granger?"

Looking at his hand, Hermione bit her lip and took a moment to reluctantly put her hand up.

"Fine…"

Ten minutes later…

Hermione blushed and said, "Just forget everything that happened that day."

A burst of sweat broke out on Sean's forehead. After dancing for ten minutes, he was stepped on by Hermione for ten minutes.

The two of them's understanding disappeared completely during the dance. They were both top students, but one couldn't teach them, and the other couldn't learn them.

But Sean didn't show any impatience on his face; he smiled, "It's not a big problem. I stepped on the dance teacher for a month when I first started learning, and my dad gave her a raise. Now for that, will you help me with more homework?"

Hermione glared at him, "I can do it myself, do your own homework."

"So ruthless..."

After ten minutes, she was finally able to dance freely. For the final dance move, Sean lifted Hermione high into the air in a perfect circle. Landing on the ground, Sean was just about to praise her, but Hermione suddenly hugged her up.

Hermione returned to her previous appearance and proudly said, "Thank you for your guidance; I have learned it."

"Huh?"

"I said, I learned it!"
