Capítulo 27: The Maid (2)

Liliana entered her master's room. She was in her room when Klaus called her. Today is the first day in the academy, so she has nothing much to do.

While the cadets were at the entrance, the servants were given access to the dorm rooms, so that they can place the luggage of their masters.

As a son of Archduke, many servants came and placed the luggage as perfectly as they can according to Klaus's preferences. Once done they left, leaving Liliana behind as she would serve him in the academy.

This is the same for all nobles or rich people who can afford servants. The ones that can't have to carry their luggage on their own to their dorms after receiving the dorm key.

After coming to the room, Liliana just stood there. She can see that Klaus was looking at her but there were no responses.

After waiting a few minutes, she spoke hoping to bring her master out of the stupor, "Master, I'm here. Is there anything I could do?"

Klaus who was daydreaming, was pulled out of the lecherous lake before he could dive deep into it.

'Damn it Klaus...pull your act together and make a move', Klaus cursed himself in his mind when he heard Liliana's voice.

After pulling himself together, he slightly coughed twice to remove any awkwardness, like in the light novels he read.

Cough!Cough!

'It did nothing'.

Ignoring that he spoke, "Hey, Liliana, how are you doing?"

Though as much as he wanted to dive into sex and check if that would unlock the Lust Sin, he didn't want to hurt Liliana nor wanted to strain their relationship.

From the time he brought her, he never treated her harshly. He never treated any of the slaves harshly. For that, he had their loyalty and faith.

Now just to test his theory, he isn't going to destroy that. He wanted to take the risk in a softer way so that everything wouldn't fall apart.

Liliana was not surprised by the question. He was known for his kindness among her peers. She was brought only a few months ago but she understood much about her master from the older slaves.

He never mistreated anyone. The only things he wished for their hard work and loyalty, which every slave was more than happy to show him.

When it was said that one of the maids would accompany him to the academy, they took a lottery. As Klaus left it to the servants on whom to accompany him since he don't want to show favoritism which could sow seeds of conflict between them. So he let fate decide for him.

The names of all maids who wanted to accompany him were written on a slip of paper, folded, and dropped in a box. After that, the box would be shaken thoroughly, so no one would know whose name would be at the top for picking.

After the shake, Klaus dipped his hand into the box and took out a slip that had Liliana's name on it.

Though coming with him could cause envy, which he clearly saw in other maids' eyes, this path would be less severe than others.

The maid is happy to be seen by others, especially by her master. Ever since she knew life, it was never have been fair to her.

When Liliana was a little girl, her father went to fight a war and never returned home. The amount paid by the kingdom for his services barely let them get by.

Her mother, the only living family worked day and night to provide for her. This destroyed her mother's health. Liliana worked wherever she could to ease her mother's work but back then she was just a child and couldn't earn much.

Her mother's health deteriorated and got bedridden. Without her work, there was no money to survive. Liliana took a loan so that she could afford medicine that can cure her mother but it was too late.

The medicine helped her mother to survive for a bit long but she died. Liliana not only lost her mother but was also left in a lot of debt.

After her mother's death, she sold her house and everything that she could to clear the debts but it was not enough. The debt collectors hounded her every day to collect the debts.

Liliana is beautiful with a nice curvaceous body which didn't escape the loaner's eyes. He promised to clear the debt if she would become his bitch.

The loaner was ugly and an old man with almost half of his teeth rotten and fallen off. No way in the hell would she agree to such a man's desires. Moreover, she heard rumors about him, about what he did to women whom he referred to as bitches.

So in order to clear the debts she has only one route left, leaving her fate to the heavens.

She sold herself into slavery and paid her debts to the loaner which obviously didn't cheer him up.

The slave merchant who brought her was on his way to Kralin, which he heard became a great hub for rich merchants. This would mean there would be a lot of people with wealth to spend.

Luckily, Liliana was brought by Klaus, along with some others as he needed new servants.

"I'm good my lord", Liliana answered to Klaus.

"I know that it would be boring for you when I would attend classes. So I brought some books which could relieve some boredom".

Liliana was not surprised at that statement. Her master did things his way. He never went out of his way to treat others to their benefit but he has never mistreated others.

"Thank you, my lord".

Klaus made small talk with her to make it easy when he broached the subject of why he actually called her.
