"Are you about done now?" Came a low familiar voice from the intercom attached to the ceiling. 

Seated on the floor, Aubrey froze. 

She knew that voice. How could she forget it? 

But there was no way…

It wasn't possible.

Rhyland confirmed that HE was dead. And yet the man was here clearly talking to her. 

HE was her teacher, her confidant, and her ex. 

"Professor Wentworth…" Aubrey said in nary a whisper.

"Good girl." Wentworth said in a chuckle. He knew she would never forget him.

"But how?" Aubrey asked, looking confused. 

"Rhyland said you were left to see the sunlight…"

She also knew he had been impaled, there was no way for him to escape. 

Deep in her musings, she only heard masculine laughter. 

Aubrey craned her neck as she looked around for where the sound was coming from until she saw a red light and camera at the corner of the ceiling.
