Why you might ask? Well, he has officially received approval from the Council to pursue an engagement with Natasha Kaminski.

This so-called gift from the council is all thanks to his achievement in apprehending the wayward vampires in Osaka. In essence they had stopped a full scale war between the werewolves and vampires. It was truly a commendable feat. 

Dimitri rubbed his hands in anticipation of the future.

Finally, he was getting the recognition he deserved.

Yes, the achievement was a joint endeavor with the outcast, Rhyland Darling. But that's neither here nor there. 

The only thing that mattered is he is now officially part of the lower members of the Council and that he is able to attend all the meetings led by Rhal Darling. This was a huge accomplishment considering that he was only tasked with surveilling Rhyland a few months back.
