Capítulo 52: Eria's Call

"Mm! Thanks, Elric!"

Ember's cheeks were stuffed full of pancakes, making her look a bit like a little chipmunk.

"Why are you eating everything all at once?"

Ember took a moment to swallow some of the food down, then answered with a wide smile on her face.

"You can't get the full experience without tasting all of it at once…"

Her words trailed off, and her cheeks reddened a bit.

"D- does it look bad?"

Elric shook his head as he cut off a tiny bit of each part of the meal, gathering it all onto one forkful before putting it into his mouth.

"Mm, you're right! This really is good!"

Internally, Ember wanted to hit herself. Obviously, she didn't need to stuff an entire pancake into her maw! Why didn't she think of just cutting it up?

The couple heard some noises coming from the hallway behind them, and Elric looked up to see his father coming down the hall.

Peliston's hair was all messy from sleeping, and he stumbled around the hall as if still half-asleep.
